Lovato Earns Three Radio Disney Music Awards Nominations

Demi Lovato is a Radio Disney darling…

Nominations for this year’s Radio Disney Music Awards have been revealed, with the 22-year-old part-Mexican American singer-actress earning three nominations.

Demi Lovato

Lovato, a two-time RDMA award winner, is nominated in the Best Breakup Song category for her hit single “Really Don’t Care” (featuring Cher Lloyd).

Additionally, Lovato will compete against herself for Best Collaboration, after earning two nominations in the category. Her first came for her multi-nominated track “Really Don’t Care,” while the second came for her collab with The Vamps on “Somebody to You.”

Fifth Harmony, meantime, tied Lovato with three nods.

The all-girl group created on Fox’s second season of The X Factor, featuring Latina singers Ally Brooke Hernandez, Camila Cabello and Lauren Jauregui, will face off against One Direction and 5 Seconds to Summer in the Best Music Group category.

Additionally, Fifth Harmony’s track “Bo$$” is nominated for Catchiest New Song, while the group’s devoted Harmonizers have landed them a nod in the Fiercest Fans category.

But Fifth Harmony and Demi Lovato aren’t the only Latina nominees…

Becky G, last year’s Best New Artist winner, has earned two nods this year.

The 18-year-old Mexican American singer-rapper will compete in the Artist with the Best Style category, as well as in the Catchiest New Song section for her dancetastic single “Shower.”

Last but certainly not least, Selena Gomez, a four-time RDMA winner, has earned a nod in the Best Breakup Song category for her Justin Bieber-inspired single “The Heart Wants What It Wants.”

The 2015 Radio Disney Music Awards will take place on Saturday, April 25 at Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles. They’ll air the next day, Sunday, April 26 at 8:00 pm ET/PT on the Disney Channel.
