Daddy Yankee Signs “Despacito” in Chinese

Daddy Yankee is switching tongues… slowly…

The 41-year-old Puerto Rican rap superstar, who’d never imagined singing in any language besides Spanish or English, has found himself waxing lyrical in Chinese.

Daddy Yankee is currently in Shanghai as part of his world tour, and during an interview, the reporter asked if he could sing a piece of “Despacito” — his worldwide hit with Luis Fonsi— in Chinese.

Daddy Yankee accepted the challenge, and he did it in front of the cameras.

He shared the funny moment on Instagram.

“They got me to sing #Despacito in #Chinese! This is more difficult than winning the lotto,” he wrote.
