The 50-year-old half-Venezuelan American Grammy-winning songbird has released a lyric video for “Save The Day” in support of the non-profit Black media organization PushBlack, inspiring the Lambily to get out there and vote in the November 3 election.

“Our country is at a critical moment in history. In recording ‘Save The Day,’ I felt compelled to do what I could and use my platform to encourage us all to take action,” Carey wrote in a message to fans.

The elegant animated clip mixes sketched images of Carey with hand-drawn tributes to Breonna Taylor, Frederick Douglass, Sojourner Truth, Raquel Willis, first responders, youth activists and the late civil rights activist Rep. John Lewis.

Carey said she chose to spotlight PushBlack’s efforts to “educate and inspire Black people to build personal power and create lasting economic and political change for our communities.”

The singer ended her post by urging her fans to get out, get involved and get to the polls.

“Whether you’re fighting for your community at the polls or protesting on the frontlines, I hope this video will serve as an inspiring message for you to keep doing what’s in your power to save the day, every day,” she said, adding a #GetOutToVote tag.

With the November election right around the corner, the 88-year-old Puerto Rican Oscar-winning actress and Latina icon is encouraging people to do their civic duty without uttering a single word.

Moreno is taking part in When We All Vote’s new campaign.

Director and producer Allen Hughes has brought together a wide range of artists, athletes, industry leaders, and notable community members wearing a “VOTE” face covering to inspire maximum voter participation.

Those taking part in this year’s mask campaign include Tony Bennett, Dr. Dre, Robert De Niro, Larry David, Megan Rapinoe, Sean Penn, David Crosby, Snoop Dogg, Diane von Furstenberg, Padma Lakshmi, Sterling K Brown, Tyler Oakley, Kevin Love, Ron Howard, Judd Apatow, Lindsey Vonn, Michael Keaton, Bryan Cranston, Sandra Oh, Steve Buscemi, Pamela Adlon, Christopher Poindexter, Rita Moreno, Iliza Shlesinger, and Deepak Chopra, along with healthcare worker Cady Chaplin.

“This is clearly an existential election year, and it’s critical that every eligible voter in every community engage in this election,” Hughes says. “The very soul of our nation is on the ballot November 3rd, 2020.”

Launched in 2018 by co-chairs Michelle Obama, Tom Hanks, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Janelle Monae, Chris Paul, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, When We All Vote uses a data-driven approach to increase participation in elections. The group focuseson increasing participation in every election while closing the race and age voting gap. The goal is to change the culture around voting, harnessing grassroots energy, and through strategic partnerships to reach every American.

In addition, Michelle Obama has added Selena Gomez, Liza Koshy, Megan Rapinoe, Shonda Rhimes, Tracee Ellis Ross, Kerry Washington, and Rita Wilson to this year’s co-chair list.

Camila Cabello Partners with Headcount for Voter Registration Drive

Camila Cabello is getting out the vote…

As this year’s U.S. presidential election draws closer, the 23-year-old Mexican and Cuban singer is encouraging her fans to exercise their right to vote.

Cabello has teamed up with the non-profit organization Headcount to video chat with a fan at random who checked their voter registration status at HeadCount.org/Camila.

Anyone not currently registered is directed to their state election website or offered a printable form to get registered.

“I promised to keep using my platform to take action and make real lasting change, so I’m working with ‪@headcountorg to help register voters. text VOTER CAMILA to 40649 to register to vote, check your status, etc. plus enter to win a video chat with me,” she tweeted.

The platform, called Vote Ready, was created by HeadCount in conjunction with technology firm Phone2Action

The organization aims to register at least 200,000 voters for the 2020 election and contact over one million Americans in a massive get-out-the-vote effort.

“Be you and vote” is the powerful message behind a González’s campaign.

González appears the oversized glasses, quirky dance moves and extreme confidence that she demonstrated in the “Soy Yo” video, all to urge Latino voters to get out and vote in the upcoming presidential election Nov. 8.

“I was excited to do this video because this election is so important. I’ve had enough of Donald Trump,” González said in a statement. “He’s unkind and he’s dishonest. Even all the kids in my school know how racist he is and that he can’t be president. He would make America much worse, not better. That’s why everyone needs to vote.”

The “Get Out the Vote” campaign is paid for by the liberal group People for the American Way, urging eligible Latino voters to make their vote count.
