Last week, Cardi B teased the fiery single via TikTok. “Me vs. you and you know who they pickin’,” she raps on the track. “I can survive in the coldest conditions… B–ches is washed, soapin’ the dishes/ I apply pressure like boa constrictors/ One b–ch, two b–ch, old b–ch, new b–ch, none of y’all not gonna do s–t/ I’m in Miami I pull up on cruise ships.”

The track is a follow-up to Cardi B’s recently released single, “Like What (Freestyle).”

The song is Cardi’s first solo record since 2021’s “Up,” which earned the rapper a Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit and a 2022 Grammy nomination for best rap performance.

Since then she’s dropped “Tomorrow 2” with GloRilla, “Jealously” with Offset and the Megan Thee Stallion collaboration “Bongos.”

A new album from the rapper would mark her first since 2018’s Invasion of Privacy. The album spawned two No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 singles, the diamond-certified “Bodak Yellow” and “I Like It.” She also won the Grammy for best rap album for Invasion of Privacy, topping Pusha T, Mac Miller, Travis Scott and Nipsey Hussle.

Cardi B Teases Fiery Next Single on TikTok

Cardi B is teasing her next fiery single…

The 31-year-old half-Dominican American Grammy-winning rap superstar has released a teaser for what appears to be her next single in a TikTok video from the recording studio.

Cardi BBarefoot and dressed down, Cardi ripped off her typically acerbic lines over a spare, g-funk style beat, once again calling out her haters.

“Me vs. you and you know who they pickin’,” she rhymes to set up the unnamed track.

Dancing along to her own track, Cardi gives the ultimate ultimatum, rapping, “I see my opps linking up, I’m like, ‘What the f–k?/ If you scared, then just say that hoe/ Enough is enough.”

The post got a few comment from famous friends, including SZA, who wrote “the hair is giving” and Camila Cabello, who added, “sheeeeesh.”

At press time Cardi hadn’t provided any additional information regarding the track, though the caption of her TikTok post, “15” and a winking emoji, appeared to suggest it was due out on March 15.

If the song comes out next week, it would mark the follow-up to last week’s “Like What (Freestyle).” She also dropped a sexy video for the freestyle in which pays tribute to Missy Elliot and tries on a wide variety of eclectic outfits in the clip directed by estranged husband rapper Offset.

“Like What” is Cardi’s first solo record since 2021’s “Up,” which earned the rapper her a Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit and a 2022 Grammy nomination for best rap performance. Since then she’s dropped “Tomorrow 2” with GloRilla, “Jealously” with Offset and the Megan Thee Stallion collab “Bongos.”

Cardi has been teasing new music for months, including an in Instagram Story last week in which she told fans that her long-awaited sophomore album could be released this year.

She told the Bardi Gang that she was “not letting my anxiety, I’m not letting what haters say, I’m not letting what fans say” prevent her from releasing new songs, adding that “I’ve got no choice because I’m dropping my album this year, so stay tuned for the announcement.”

It would be the follow-up to the MC’s breakthrough 2018 debut studio album, Invasion of Privacy, which earned her a Grammy.

Cardi B Releases New Single “Like What (Freestyle)”

Cardi B is freestylin’…

The 31-year-old half-Dominican American Grammy-winning rap superstar has officially released her new single “Like What (Freestyle).

Cardi BCardi B teased the new track via her Instagram Story earlier this week.

“I ain’t even got dressed / Any L that I took come after YS / Oh man, oh man, oh man, oh man,” she rapped in the snippet.

The teaser arrived one week after her estranged husband Offset took to his own IG Stories account to encourage the “WAP” rapper to drop her new music.

In the video, the Migos star was bobbing his head with a satisfied stank face, writing, “Stop being scary and drop the album sh– goes crazy” with a line of fire emojis.

“Like What (Freestyle)” marks Cardi B’s first solo record since 2021’s “Up,” which earned the MC her fifth Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit. “Up” also earned a 2022 Grammy nomination for best rap performance.

The anticipation for her sophomore album has increased over the years since she dropped her critically acclaimed debut album Invasion of Privacy in 2018. The set debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and produced two Hot 100 No. 1, diamond-certified singles: “Bodak Yellow” and “I Like It,” featuring J Balvin and Bad BunnyInvasion of Privacy also won best rap album at the 2019 Grammy Awards.

Last August, following her features on Offset’s “Jealousy” and “Freaky,” GloRilla‘s “Tomorrow 2,” Latto‘s “Put It On Da Floor Again” and FendiDa Rappa‘s “Point Me 2,” Cardi B promised in her Vogue México y Latinoamérica cover story that she wasn’t going to release any more collaborations until she dropped her next solo single. But “Bongos” with Megan Thee Stallion dropped a month later, a sequel to their 2020 Hot 100 smash “WAP.”

“I’m going to put out my next solo single. Right now, I’m working on the cover art and ideas for the next record because it’s definitely coming up,” she told the publication at the time. “Everyone always tells me I should put the record out now. They did when I released ‘WAP’ and when I released ‘Up,’ but I always let them know I’m not going to wait long after all these singles. So stay tuned because it’s coming out very soon.”

Cardi B Takes to Social Media to Tease New Music Release

“I ain’t even got dressed / Any L that I took come after YS / Oh man, oh man, oh man, oh man,” she declares on the track. Check out the Instagram Story before it disappears here.

The teasers come just a week after Cardi B’s estranged husband Offset took to his own Stories to encourage the “Bodak Yellow” rapper to release her new music.

In the video, the Migos star is seen bobbing his head and loving the music with a satisfied stank face on, and since the video had no audio, viewers were left to their imagination in interpreting the caption.

Stop being scary and drop the albumit read, along with “s–t goes crazy [fire emoji],” he wrote.

A new Cardi B album would mark her first since 2018’s Invasion of Privacy.

Back in August, Cardi B promised that she was not going to release any more collaborations until she dropped her next solo single. Of course, her hit collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, “Bongos,” dropped a month later, but Cardi B insisted that she’s focused on her sophomore project.

“I’m going to put out my next solo single. Right now, I’m working on the cover art and ideas for the next record because it’s definitely coming up,” she said at the time. “Everyone always tells me I should put the record out now. They did when I released ‘WAP’ [with Megan Thee Stallion] and when I released ‘Up,’ but I always let them know I’m not going to wait long after all these singles. So stay tuned because it’s coming out very soon.”

Cardi B Teams Up with FendiDa Rappa for “Point Me To the S—s” remix, “Point Me 2”

Cardi B is making a big point

The 30-year-old half-Dominican American Grammy-winning rap superstar appears on the remix of FendiDa Rappa’s TikTok viral hit “Point Me To the S—s.”

Cardi BTitled “Point Me 2,” the new remix is the latest in a string of collaborations between Cardi B and rising female rappers.

Last September, Cardi B linked up with Memphis rapper GloRilla for “Tomorrow 2,” a remix of the “F.N.F.” rapper’s original track. With Cardi’s help, the remix peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Just last month (June 2), Cardi B joined forces with two-time Grammy nominee Latto for “Put It On Da Floor Again,” a remix of Latto’s original that landed a Hot 100 peak of No. 13.

Although it has been more than five years since Cardi B released her last album, fans are still waiting for her follow-up. Nonetheless, the “Up” rapper has kept the verses coming as she continues to prep the release of her sophomore LP.

On the Billboard Hot 100, Cardi B has earned five No. 1 singles, including “Bodak Yellow,” “Girls Like You” (with Maroon 5), and the Megan Thee Stallion-assisted “WAP.” Invasion of Privacy, the Bronx rapper’s debut studio album, peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and has spent over 200 weeks on the ranking.

Cardi B Channels Inner Emo Kid to Cover Fall Out Boy at New Year’s Eve Party

Cardi B is experiencing a major Fall Out moment…

The 30-year-old half-Dominican American Grammy-winning rap superstar celebrated New Year’s Eve on Saturday, December 31 by covering Fall Out Boy‘s seminal hit “Sugar We’re Goin’ Down.”

Cardi BCardi B’s delightfully emo moment came during her performance at Miami’s E11EVEN nightclub to ring in 2023.

With a drink in one hand and a mic in the other, Cardi excitedly launched into the 2005 single in a fan-captured TikTok video.

“Anything you wanna hear/ But that’s just who I am this week/ Lying in bed/ Next to the mausoleum,” she wailed a capella as the crowd excitedly sang along.

“Cardi [B] singing fall out boy first thing after midnight on new year’s day is exactly how i wanted to start my year,” the TikTok user wrote on the clip, which also features Offset on stage, playing to a different part of the packed crowd.

Released as the lead single off 2005’s From Under the Cork Tree, “Sugar We’re Goin Down” served as the foursome’s breakout hit, becoming their first top 10 smash and ultimately peaking at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100. The pop-punk anthem also reached No. 3 on the Alternative Airplay chart as well as No. 2 on Pop Airplay.

Funnily enough, Cardi B’s appreciation for Pete Wentz and co. plays into a tweet she posted earlier this fall expressing her love for the “emo kids” at her high school who were “actually really cool and will give me free cigarettes.”

Weeks before her New Year’s Eve performance, Cardi B promised that her long-awaited follow-up to 2018’s Invasion of Privacy is set to be released sometime in 2023 and even treated the Bardi Gang to a seven-second snippet of an unreleased song via Twitter.

Cardi B Shares Snippet of Unreleased Song

Cardi B is offering a sneak peek at unreleased music…

The 30-year-old half-Dominican American Grammy-winning rap superstar has offered fans an early Christmas present by dropping a seven-second snippet of an unreleased song as her Bardi Gang awaits the follow-up to her Grammy-winning debut studio album, 2018’s Invasion of Privacy.

Cardi B“HERE some scraps since yall STARVING,” Cardi wrote in a tweet featuring the scant bars from an unnamed song she never finished. “They be watchin’ every time that I post (that I post)/ Posted nothin’, always gotta do the most/ B—-es sound like you broke,” she raps over a hard-hitting beat.

When a fan asked why the song was scrapped, Cardi responded, “I just don’t love it.”

“I have no choice, I have to put it out,” Cardi told The Breakfast Club earlier this month when asked about when fans can expect new music. “I have like a couple of songs that are like definite, I don’t know. I don’t know what’s going on with me. I need to just make up my mind and put it out.” She also revealed that even though it’s time for her to return to the radio, Cardi thinks the project is still “missing something,” even as she confirmed that the fresh tunes are coming in 2023.

As the wait continues, Cardi and her family are gearing up for Christmas, as evidenced by another post on the rapper’s socials in which she revealed the multiple glittery trees in her home. In a video featuring a cameo from one-year-old son Wave Set, Cardi showed off her children’s towering Disney-themed tree — as she yelled at the little ones to “stop running around the Christmas tree!! — as well as the impressive light array outside her house.

Cardi B Hints at Releasing Highly Anticipated Sophomore Album Next Year

Cardi B is hinting a new album next year…

The 30-year-old half-Dominican American rap superstar called in to The Breakfast Club on Thursday morning, December 1 for Angela Yee’s last day, and host Charlamagne Tha God asked if she had a release date in mind for the highly anticipated follow-up to her Grammy-winning debut album Invasion of Privacy, which she released in April 2018 via Atlantic Records.

Cardi B“I have no choice, I have to put it out,” she replied. “I have like a couple of songs that are like definite, I don’t know. I don’t know what’s going on with me. I need to just make up my mind and put it out.”

DJ Envy gassed her up by saying since “every record you put out went No. 1” (for the record, Cardi has five No. 1s on the Billboard Hot 100 so far), it’s time for her to put out more music.

But the “Up” rapper still feels like the new project is “missing something. I gotta put it out, I gotta put it out next year,” she said, revealing a timeline.

Charlamagne threw out the idea of releasing it on April 6, 2023, to coincide with Invasion of Privacy‘s fifth anniversary, and it sounded like Cardi could be up for it. But time will only tell when exactly to expect her sophomore studio album.

Earlier in the interview, when Charlamagne asked why Cardi was calling in, she woefully responded, “Because Angela Yee is leaving.” Back in August, Yee revealed she was leaving The Breakfast Club to host her own nationally syndicated daily show, Way Up With Angela Yee, which will launch on iHeartRadio.

Cardi topped off her farewell with an a cappella performance of “Until We Meet Again,” the closing theme song from the Playhouse Disney series Out of the Box.

“You’re such a huge part of the show too,” Yee told the chart-topping MC, who’s been a guest a handful of times. But Cardi might be expanding her role on The Breakfast Club as soon as next year: Charlamagne suggested she fill in as a guest-host during the week leading up to her album release date. “Ooh that would be fun,” she replied.

Cardi B to Release New Single “Hot Shit” This Week

Cardi B is continuing her Hot streak…

The 29-year-old half-Dominican American Grammy-winning rap superstar and songwriter has announced plans to release her next single, “Holy Shit,” on Friday, while promising “another surprise” is on the way.

Cardi B“My new single ‘Hot Shit’ available everywhere THIS FRIDAY 7/1,” Cardi B revealed on social media on Sunday night (June 26).

The post featured a very short teaser clip.

“Tomorrow 8pm I got another surprise for yall, tune in,” she hinted with a winking emoji.

“Hot Shit” will be the artist’s first single since last year’s “Up,” which peaked at No. 1 for a week on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart in March 2021. “Up” followed “WAP,” which spent four weeks topping the Hot 100 in 2020.

Fans have been patiently waiting for the follow-up to Cardi B’s full-length debut album, 2018’s Invasion of Privacy, which topped the Billboard 200 albums chart.

In May, she explained that when there is news she can share, they’ll know. “When things come out, that’s when I’mma talk about it,” she pointed out on Twitter.
