Feid Earns 12 Latin American Music Awards Nods

Feid has 12 reasons to smile…

Univision has revealed the 2024 Latin American Music Awards nominees, with the 31-year-old Colombian singer tying Mexican star Peso Pluma with 12 nods each.

FeidFeid and Peso Pluma, who are up for the coveted artist of the year and album of the year awards, are followed by top nominees Bad Bunny (11), Grupo Frontera (11), Karol G (9), Shakira (9), Eslabon Armado (8) and Fuerza Regida (8).

Co-hosted by Thalía, Alejandra Espinoza and Carlos Ponce, this year’s awards ceremony will celebrate the theme “We Speak Música” and will air live at 7:00 pm ET on Thursday, April 25 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas via Univision, UNIMÁS, Galavision and ViX.

The 2024 nominations are based on fan interactions across streaming, sales, radio airplay, touring and social media interaction data provided by Billboard and Luminate during the eligibility period (Feb. 11, 2023 to Feb. 24, 2024), according to a press statement.

Fans have until April 1 to vote for their favorite artists here.

Rafael Nadal to Battle Carlos Alcaraz in Las Vegas Exhibition Match in March

Rafael Nadal is headed to Sin City…

The 36-year-old Spanish tennis superstar will face off against compatriot and current World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz in an exhibition match in Las Vegas on March 5.

Rafael NadalNadal owns a men’s-record 22 Grand Slam titles, including two in 2022 at the Australian Open in January and French Open in June, while Alcaraz, 19, claimed his first major trophy at the US Open in September.

The two Spaniards finished 1-2 in this year’s ATP rankings: Alcaraz is the youngest man to finish at No. 1, while Nadal is the oldest to finish at No. 2. They’re also the first two countrymen to lead the men’s rankings since Americans Pete Sampras and Michael Chang in 1996.2d

The match being touted, boxing-style, as “The Slam: Nadal vs. Alcaraz” will be held inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Tickets go on sale Friday.

Nadal and Alcaraz have played each other three times in official tournaments, all at Masters 1000 events. Nadal leads 2-1, with Alcaraz’s victory coming in their most recent meeting, in May on red clay at Madrid.

The Recording Academy has announced more performers for the 64th Grammy Awards program, with the 20-year-old half-Colombian American actress/singer among those set to take the stage.

Rachel Zegler,Zegler, who will be a presenter at this weekend’s Academy Awards show, and Ben Platt will perform during a special In Memoriam segment, featuring songs of Stephen Sondheim.

In addition to Zegler and Platt, recently confirmed performers include Jon Batiste, Foo Fighters, H.E.R, Nas and Chris Stapleton. Additionally, Grammy winner Cynthia Erivo and current nominee Leslie Odom Jr. will perform.

Gloria Trevi Among New Wave of Artists Added to Performance Roster at This Year’s Latin Grammys

The Latin Recording Academy has announced additional performers set to take the stage for the 22nd annual Latin Grammy Awards on November 18 in Las Vegas, with the 53-year-old Mexican singer making the list.

In addition to Trevi, who released the singles “Nos Volvimos Locos” featuring Guaynaa and “Mudanza de Hormiga” with María León this year, the new wave of artists includes current and past Latin Grammy nominees like Descemer BuenoCamilo, Julio Reyes Copello, DJ Nelson, Sergio GeorgeGente de ZonaGrupo FirmeMon LaferteJay Wheeler and Yotuel.

Laferte and Trevi will join La Arrolladora Banda El Limón de René Camacho and a mariachi for a medley, including “La Mujer,” nominated for best pop song.   

Descemer Bueno, Gente de Zona and Yotuel will take the stage for an acoustic rendition of “Patria y Vida,” which is up for both song of the year and best urban song.

The new group of artists join previously announced performers Bad Bunny, Banda El Recodo de Cruz Lizárraga, Rubén Blades, C. Tangana, Calibre 50, Los Dos Carnales, Alejandro Fernández, Juanes, Maná, Ozuna, Danna Paola and Myke Towers, among others.

Five-time nominee C. Tangana is set to perform alongside Antonio Carmona, Diego del Morao, Jorge Drexler, Israel Fernández, La Húngara, Natalia Lafourcade and Omar Apollo. Meanwhile, Juanes will perform a new arrangement of Juan Gabriel’s iconic “No Tengo Dinero,” alongside Rubén Albarrán and Meme del Real of Café Tacvba.

With the theme “rediscovering life through music,” the three-hour show will air live on Univision at 8:00 pm ET, preceded by a one-hour pre-show starting at 7:00 pm ET. The telecast, live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena, will “invite audiences to rediscover what’s important in life using music as a storyline,” according to a statement from the Latin Recording Academy.

Ricky Martin & Enrique Iglesias Officially Kicking Off Highly Awaited Co-Headlining Tour This Fall

It’s déjà vu for Ricky Martin and Enrique Iglesias.

The 49-year-old Puerto Rican superstar and the 46-year-old Spanish superstar are officially kicking off their highly awaited co-headlining tour this fall.

The 26-date North America tour is confirmed to kick off September 25 At Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena and wrap up on November 20 at Anaheim’s Honda Center. The iconic pop stars will also visit fans in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, and more.

Colombian star Sebastian Yatra will perform as a special guest on the trek in select cities.

“To say we are going on tour has lifted all of our spirits after the profoundly difficult year the world has gone through and still is,” Martin said in a statement. “Myself and my entire crew are very excited to bring our best live show safely all over the U.S. and Canada, and let the music bring the healing power and happiness that we all need.”

Iglesias and Martin first announced they were going to tour together in early March 2020, just weeks before the global pandemic shut down much of the world.

“I thought this would happen some time, but didn’t know when,” Iglesias said at a press conference last year, while Yatra called the invitation to join the tour the “most surreal moment in my life.” “If I didn’t have the chance to be on stage, I would buy a ticket to see you,” Yatra told his new tour mates. “I visualized this in my life. They are two of my biggest idols.”

Tickets for new dates go on sale beginning at 10 a.m. local time on Friday, May 14, via Ticketmaster. All previously purchased tickets will be valid for the corresponding rescheduled dates listed below. A limited number of LaneOne Premium Packages will also be available.

Miguel to Perform for the First-Time at the Latin Grammys

Alejandro Fernandez to Perform with Son & Father for the First Time Together at Latin Grammys

The Latin Recording Academy has announced the first group of performers for the 20th Annual Latin Grammy Awards , including all three generations of the Fernandez family.

For the first time, the 48-year-old Mexican singer, his son Alex Fernández and his father Vicente Fernández will perform together. No word yet on what the Fernandez men will sing, but Mariachi Sol de México will accompany them on stage.

J.Lo shared the news when she stopped by the TODAY show Wednesday morning amid chatting with Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie about the Met Gala, Season 2 of her show World of Dance, and her new single “El Anillo.”

She quickly took to Twitter following her TODAY appearance to share her excitement.

Lopez premiered “El Anillo” at the 2018 Billboard Latin Music Awards on April 26, where she delivered a show-stopping performance in a goddess-like headdress and bejeweled bodysuit. She last performed on the Billboard Music Awards in 2014, when she also received the Icon Award.

Along with J.Lo, this year’s star-studded roster of BBMAs performers includes Camila CabelloShawn MendesKelly Clarkson (who is also hosting the show), John LegendDua LipaBTS and this year’s Icon Award recipient, Janet Jackson.

Christina Aguilera and Demi Lovato also just announced that they’ll team up for a performance of their new collaboration “Fall In Line,” which will mark the world premiere of the song.

The 2018 Billboard Music Awards will broadcast live from MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sunday, May 20 at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT.

Tommy Torres to Host This Year’s Latin Grammy Premiere Ceremony

The 45-year-old Puerto Rican singer-songwriter and producer, a three-time Latin Grammy-winner, will host this year’s Latin Grammy Premiere ceremony, during which approximately 85 percent of the categories will be awarded, according to the Recording Academy.

The “biggest night in Latin music” will kick off with performances by nominees Tiago IorcLas Migas, Debi Nova and Sig Ragga.

Additionally, the first Latin Grammy awards of the day will be presented by nominees Paula Arenas, Eduardo Cabra, Cesar Camargo Mariano and Miranda, and Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, Guadalupe Pineda.

The Latin Grammy Premiere 2017 will be held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas on Thursday (Nov. 16); live streaming will begin at 4 p.m. EST on LatinGrammy.com and Univision.com/LatinGrammy.

The premiere ceremony will be followed by the 18th Annual Latin Grammy Awards, live on Univision from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas from 8:00 – 11:00 pm EST.

Viewers can watch the Latin Grammys 2017 red carpet — “Night of the Stars” — beginning at 7:00 pm EST, featuring live interviews and commentary on the stars and their glamorous attires.
