Edgar Ramirez Encourages Everyone to Get the COVID-19 Vaccine After Losing Family Members to the Virus

Edgar Ramirez is encouraging everyone to get the COVID-19 vaccine after suffering his own heartbreak…

The 44-yea-old Venezuelan actor has shared via Instagram his very personal story about his loss due to coronavirus.

Edgar Ramirez

Ramirez – a Golden Globe and Emmy nominee who has appeared in films and television programs like Carlos, Zero Dark Thirty, The Bourne Ultimatum, Hands of Stone, The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story and Wrath of the Titans appealed to people to take the COVID-19 vaccines, citing his relatives who died without access to them in a series of posts.

“I beg you to please read this post carefully 🙏🏽. It is the most painful and the most intimate thing I have had to publish in my life, but I think it is important to share it,” he wrote on Instagram. “At times, I feel like it is a nightmare from which I am going to wake up, but I know it is not. That this is as real as the air that at this moment it is difficult for me to breathe.”

He continued, “In my Instagram feed, right next to this post is an interview I had with Dr. Anthony Fauci, Chief Medical Advisor to the President of the United States, in which we discussed vital information on how to deal with COVID 19 and the urgent need to get vaccinated, especially those of us who are lucky enough to access to a vaccine. No one who has access to a vaccine should die from COVID 19. Please read this information, watch the interview and please, please share it.

Thank you very much,
Edgar

Penelope Cruz to Receive Honorary César Award

Life is c’est magnifique for Penelope Cruz

The Académie des Arts et Techniques du Cinéma has chosen the 43-year-old Oscar-winning actress as the recipient of this year’s honorary César Award.

Penelope Cruz

Cruz has appeared in five films for director Pedro Almodovar, a staple of the Cannes Film Festival.

She recently wrapped the next film from Asghar FarhadiEverybody Knows, which she shot in Madrid with her husband Javier Bardem and which is produced by France’s Memento Films Production. The drama is tipped for a Cannes berth this year.

Her other recent credits include the box office hit Murder on the Orient Express and FX’s The Assassination Of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.

The César nominations will be announced on Wednesday.

The ceremony, which awards France’s equivalent to the Academy Award, will be held on March 2.

FX to Premiere Edgar Ramirez’s Limited Series “The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story” in January

Edgar Ramirez will be in fashion this January…

FX has slotted Wednesday, January 17, 10:00 pm ET for the premiere of The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, starring the 40-year-old Venezuelan actor.

It’s the second installment of the acclaimed limited series from Ryan Murphy, Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson.

Edgar Ramirez as Gianni Versace

The 10-episode Versace series examines the shocking July 1997 assassination of Gianni Versace (portrayed by Ramirez) on the steps of his Miami Beach mansion by sociopath and serial killer Andrew Cunanan (Darren Criss).

Penelope Cruz and Ricky Martin also star.

Tom Rob Smith penned the script and Murphy directs the premiere episode. The series is produced by Fox 21 Television Studios and FX Productions.

Versace was initially scheduled to air after the Katrina installment of the limited series, which tells the story of America’s response to the devastating 2005 storm, but Versace was much farther along in production and Katrina was pushed to early 2018.

FX’s first ACS installment The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story received 22 Emmy nominations and won nine Emmys among a slew of awards.
