She’s considered Mexico’s most influential celebrity in social media with more than three million followers… And now Anahí has set her sights on reaching an older audience!
The 28-year-old Mexican singer/actress has recorded a track with the legendary Juan Gabriel for his upcoming commemorative album.
“You’ll see a hit,” announced Anahí on Twitter regarding her collaboration with the beloved 61-year-old singer/songwriter about the song that they recorded in the Mexican Caribbean.
“Happy! Recording with the greatest artist Mexico has ever had. Juan Gabriel, I love you,” wrote the former RBD member in another message to her Twitter followers, along with including a picture of the two on the beach. “Thank you for believing in me.”
Anahí’s duet with Gabriel—a single expected to bridge the gap between generations of music lovers—will form part of El Divo de Juárez’s latest project to commemorate his 40 years in the music industry as one of Mexico’s most prolific singer-songwriters.
Gabriel responded to Anahí’s tweet with one of his own:
“Thank you for coming, for singing and for being with me. Blessings to so much youth,” wrote Gabriel.
