Hayek Participates in Got Milk? Campaign for Third Straight Year

Salma Hayek’s still got milk

The 46-year-old Mexican actress is taking part in the Got Milk? campaign for the third straight year.

Salma Hayek's Got Milk? Campaign

In Hayek’s latest ad to promote milk consumption, the Frida star serves breakfast to who appears to be her young daughter Valentina while wearing a bathrobe and curlers.

Hayek, the best-dressed Latina at this year’s Academy Awards, touts the nutritional value of milk and says it’s important that her family start the day with a good breakfast.

In a separate interview taped during the filming of the commercial, Hayek says that her multiple occupations and the fast pace of life make it difficult to serve a daily balanced breakfast.

So “one of the ways I make sure my family has a nutritious breakfast is including milk, especially for my little one,” added Hayek, who recently joined the Chime for Change women’s campaign.

Thalía & Pampers Launch ‘Mi Musica, Mi Herencia’ Campaign

Thalía is encouraging Latina moms to keep their cultural heritage alive through music…

The 41-year-old Mexican singer has unveiled the new online forum Mi Musica, Mi Herencia, designed to help Hispanic parents preserve Latino culture for their families through music.

Thalia
The project, sponsored by Pampers, was launched with a special concert this week for young parents and expectant moms, who enjoyed a selection of all-time Latin music hits played by the Henry Mancini Orchestra at the University of Miami.

Thalía , the mother of 5-year-old Sabrina Sakäe and 18-month-old Matthew Alejandro, told Efe that being the campaign spokeswoman makes her happy “because for me, as a mother, what is most important is to give my kids all the best and that includes my Mexican heritage.”

Thalia's Pampers Campaign
The singer, who urges mothers to celebrate their culture “without losing your love for the country you’re living in,” asked the audience to upload a selection of musical memories onto Pampers’ Facebook page so it can be used to teach youngsters the value of Latino musical culture.

Thalía  said she does the same with her kids, to whom she sings Pedro Infante songs, “which we can’t do without, plus of course mariachi and mambo, which I love.”

“My little boy loves mambo and my daughter, besides Justin Bieber, likes bachata – in our house we’re always singing,” said the artist, who has sold more than 40 million discs.

“As a singer it’s basic to preserve what I like to do, which is music, and also to remember my cradlesongs in Spanish,” Thalía told Efe in an interview, adding that at home “we only speak Spanish.”

A Nearly Nude Vergara Models for Artist Domingo Zapata

There’s no denying Sofia Vergara’s curvaceous body could be described as a work of art… And, now it is an actual work of art.

The 40-year-old Colombian actress stripped down to her birthday suit to let noted artist Domingo Zapata paint on her.

Sofia Vergara & Domingo Zapata

“We met through friends and we started talking about doing something together and one day she said, ‘Let’s do it,’ explained the 37-year-old Spanish-American contemporary artist, who recently created a similar piece with Lindsay Lohan that sold for $100,000. “I said, ‘Okay, I don’t have a canvas, so I’m going to have to paint on you.’”

The idea of using her nearly nude body as a canvas didn’t scare the Modern Family starlet and she was ready to get the project started.

Domingo Zapata's Sofia Vergara Art PieceZapata decided to paint the words to a Spanish poem titled “Life is a Dream” on Vergara’s body.

“She is one of the most beautiful women in the world and very comfortable with her body,” said Zapata. “What a canvas!”

Zapata sold the 12-polaroid series of Vergara for $220,000.

The artist will next be working with another Latina bombshell, Eva Longoria.

Cruz Gets “Waxed” for Paris’ Grevin Wax Museum…

Penelope Cruz is officially waxtastic

A wax sculpture of the 38-year-old Spanish actress will be placed in a prime spot in a Paris museum, joining similar statues of Brad Pitt and George Clooney.

Penelope Cruz's Wax Figure

The Grevin Wax Museum decided to include this year’s Key To The Cure ambassador in its list of stars to “pay tribute to this essential actress who has asserted herself on the world level as well as on the Spanish one,” the museum’s communications director, Veronique Berecz, told Efe.

Finishing the sculpture has taken six months, during which time sculptor Eric de Saint Chaffray, lacking the real model to work from, has had to create the wax image by “improvising and imagining” her look from images taken from the Internet and clips of her films.

The work has been “arduous” and the pressure “constant,” since the Spanish film icon “is part of a group of superstars, beautiful women with great charm, and those attributes had to be given expression in the (wax) figure,” said Saint Chaffray.

The result is a remarkably lifelike replica of Cruz – with her long, dark hair gathered into a bun and wearing an elegant evening gown made of lace, velvet and blue gemstones – who seems to be looking at the camera out of the corner of her eye with an enigmatic half-smile.

Diaz to Pen a Health & Wellness Book for Young Girls

Cameron Diaz may find herself at the top the New York Times Best Seller list in the near future.

The 39-year-old half-Cuban American actress is reportedly writing her first book, according to E! News.

Cameron Diaz

The health-conscious What to Expect When You’re Expecting star is penning a tome about the importance of proper nutrition and staying healthy for impressionable young girls.

“She wants to stop their fixation on being thin, and for teenage girls to understand that being healthy is more important,” a publishing source told E! News. “She wants to use her celebrity to make a difference. She knows she is a role model to girls and she really wants to use that position to do good. This book is not about weight, it’s about making the right choices.”

While no formal publishing deal is in place at the moment, Diaz has been mulling over the idea for some time, and has signed on with a literary agent.

And Diaz has big plans for the book, including touring the country with it to inspire young girls. On the other hand, I think you should know about unify health reviews, this review will help you understand the importance of health.

“Cameron is going to be visiting high schools around the country to talk to teenagers about their food choices and what is important to them,” the source told E! News. “She wants them to know that being thin should not be their priority, it’s about getting the right vitamins and knowing what foods will give them energy and keep them strong. She wants to get their feedback, learn about how they decide what to eat now, and teach them to make more informed choices.”

So what inspired Diaz to put pen to paper?

“Everything changed for Cameron after her father died,” the source said. “She realized what is important and started to think more and more about her health.”

Her good intentions, coupled with her unprecedented access to the top nutritionists in the world, has resulted in Diaz’s desire to pass on the lessons she’s learned to young women.

“This book isn’t about her. And it’s not a diet of any kind. Of course, it’s her own journey that has helped her realize what’s important, but she wants the book to appeal to everyone, and not just be about her own food choices.”

In addition to her own story, the book will also feature advice and expertise not only from top nutritionists, but some of Cameron’s celebrity pals, including Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Lopez and Gwyneth Paltrow, who has become a source of inspiration for DIaz

“Cameron has become very close to Gwyneth and it’s been very interesting for her to see what Gwyneth is doing with Goop,” the source said. “She’s been inspired by Gwyneth and the way she uses her fame to influence and help people. Now Cameron wants to do the same.”

Though she hasn’t sign on any dotted lines, a book deal seems inevitable, and could be ready as early as next year. When it does finally hit shelves, Diaz will also launch an accompanying website to further educate young girls on health issues.

“Through this project, she wants schools to offer better meal options for kids,” the publishing source continued. “She wants to have an impact on a huge scale. In some way, she feels like this is her calling. This is her passion.”
