CNCO Wins Two Surfboards at This Year’s Teen Choice Awards

American teens have spoken… And, they’ve expressed their love for CNCO

The 2019 Teen Choice Awards were handed out over the weekend, with the Latin American boy band taking home two of the coveted trophy surfboards.

CNCO was named Choice Latin Artist, beating out the likes of Bad BunnyJ BalvinBecky GDaddy Yankee and Maluma. It’s the band’s third consecutive win in the category.

Additionally, the band took home the prize for Choice Latin Song for their hit single“Pretend,” which they performed during the awards show. 

Noah Centineo picked up his first-ever Teen Choice Awards…

The 23-year-old part-Puerto Rican actor, who had previously earned a nod in the television categories for his role on Freeform’s The Fosters, was named Choice Comedy Movie Actor for his performance in Netflix’s The Perfect DateHe was also named Choice Social Star.

Lauren Jauregui continues her winning ways… 

The 23-year-old Cuban American singer and former Fifth Harmony member, a two-time winner last year, won the award for Choice Song: Female Artist for her debut solo single “Expectations.”

Cardi B is still the teen’s Queen of R&B and Hip-Hop…

The 26-year-old half-Dominican American rap superstar was named Choice R&B/Hip-Hop Artist for the second year in a row.

Camila Cabellois having a great summer…

The 22-year-old Cuban and Mexican singer took home the surfboard for Choice Summer Song for her insta-hit single with Shawn Mendes, “Señorita.” It’s her eight Teen Choice Award as a solo artist. She’d previously won 10 TCAsas a member of Fifth Harmony.

Jaime Camil is ending his scene-stealing run on Jane the Virgin with a bang…

The 46-year-old Mexican actor/singer was named Choice Comedy TV Actor
for his role as Rogelio De La Vegaon the CW series. It’s his second consecutive win in the category for his beloved role.

More than 55 million votes from teens came in to support their favorite teen icons in film, television, music, sports, fashion, comedy and the web. 

Hosted by Lucy Hale andDavid Dobrik, the ceremony aired live on Fox from Hermosa Beach, California.
