Gomez & Lovato: Lead the Pack of Latino Teen Choice Awards Nominees

Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato may be one-time BFFs… But they’ll be fierce competitors when this year’s Teen Choice Awards come around.

The 20-year-old half-Mexican American Spring Breakers star and the 20-year-old part-Mexican American The X Factor judge are each nominated for three awards, all in the same category, after the  “first wave” of nominees were announced this week.

Gomez and Lovato are nominated for Choice Female Artist, Choice Female Hottie
 and Choice Smile.

Meanwhile, Bruno Mars is nominated for Choice Male Artist and Choice R&B Artist
. He’ll face-off against Pitbull in the Choice Mail Artist category and Miguel in the Choice R&B Artist.

Pitbull is also nominated in the  Choice Hip-Hop/Rap Artist

Other Latino nominees include Glee’s Lea Michele for Choice TV Actress: Comedy, and Big Time Rush member Carlos Pena Jr. for Choice Music Group
