If you’ve been waiting to hear new Jennifer Lopez music, you’re in luck…
The 44-year-old Puerto Rican singer/actress and American Idol judge will be releasing the music video for her new single Same Girl on Thursday, January 16.
Lopez will premiere the official clip for the track during that night’s episode of Fox’s hit reality singing competition.
Someone who apparently worked with the diva on the video shoot revealed the news on Twitter, saying, “New Video #SAMEGIRL from @JLo on the premiere of @AmericanIdol January 16 2014.”
Lopez, who returns to the judges’ table after a one-season hiatus, was recently spotted filming the music video in the Castle Hill neighborhood of The Bronx. Wearing jeans, a black jacket and a Yankees cap, the singer was filmed dancing with several ladies.
The clip was directed by Steven Gomillion and Dennis Leupold, who’ve previously worked with the “Jenny From the Block” hitmaker on some of her projects.
“Same Girl” was written by Lopez, reportedly in collaboration with Chris Brown and Cory Rooney. The three of them were pictured hitting a recording studio together back in March. Lopez then posted the photo and used the hashtag “Same Girl”.
The track will be featured on Lopez’s tenth studio album, which is expected to drop later this year.
