Maye’s “Tú” Lands on Barack Obama’s 2020 Summer Playlist

Maye’s music has gotten a special seal of approval…

Former President Barack Obama has posted his official 2020 Summer Playlist, his diverse list of music that’s been getting the Obamas through this summer in quarantine, with the Venezuelan singer’s “” making the list.

Maye

“Over the past few months, I’ve spent a lot of time listening to music with my family. I wanted to share some of my favorites from the summer –– including songs from some of the artists performing at this week’s @DemConvention,” he wrote on social media. “As always, it’s a mix of genres that travels through various eras. I think there’s something in here for everybody––hope you enjoy it.”

Maye’s Spanish single “.” The Venezuelan singer’s track is described by Rolling Stone as wistful and elegant, dripping with resonant bass and airy clouds of vocals. One YouTube commenter said of “Tú”: “This is the type of song when you see the love of your life for the first time, wind blows over her head, and everything starts to move in slow motion.”

But Maye isn’t the only Latin artist featured on Obama’s list…

J Balvin’s “Un Dia (One Day),” featuring Dua Lipa, Bad Bunny, and Tainy, gets a shout out. The bilingual track was released in early August.
