“Latin music has a huge global appeal that extends far beyond Spanish speakers,” Jorge Rincon, VP Americas, Deezer said in an official statement. “Latin songs and rhythms are infused with the rich culture from many different countries. We are thrilled to launch our new Spanish only ‘Deezer Originals’ to support Latin and Spanish artists to bring their sounds even closer to our fans.”
“We’ve created a destination that you can always go back to find this content, and share with your friends,” a Deezer representative tells Billboard. “We also are developing more local content like the Rock Colombia podcast that is launching with the Spanish Originals as well.”
With the aim of releasing one to two new pieces of content per month, Deezer Originals in Spanish can be found in the Latin channel of the streaming platform.
