Fox has been building momentum for Matt Reeves’ latest Planet of the Apes film, which hits theaters July 14.

The movie was written by Mark Bomback and Reeves. The story picks up as Caesar (Andy Serkis) and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless, head-shaved Colonel (Woody Harrelson) — his line: “There are times when it is necessary to abandon your humanity to save humanity.”

After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins a quest to avenge his kind, leading to an epic battle that will determine the fate of both species and the future of the planet.

Chavarria portrays Preacher in the film.

His previous credits include the television programs East Los High, Aquarius, Gang Related and Major Crimes, as well as the film Lowriders.
