Ramos-Vinolas, ranked No. 55 in the world, beat Sock in a thrilling five-set match, 6-7 (2), 6-4, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4.

The match lasted 4 hours, 11 minutes.

Ramos-Vinolas will next face No. 8 seed Milos Raonic.
