Shakira’s album sales are still shining brightnearly two weeks after her Super Bowl performance…

Following her historic co-headlining Halftime Show alongside Jennifer Lopez, the 43-year-old Colombian superstar is back in the top 10 of Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart for the first time since September 2018, as her 2010 set, Sale El Sol, re-enters at No. 7 on the February 15-dated survey.

The set, released on October 19, 2010 via Sony Music Latin, earned 5,000 equivalent album units in the week ending February 6 (up 434%), according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data, most of which are attributed to streaming activity.

Top Latin Albums ranks the most popular Latin albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units. Units comprise traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA)

Sale El Solregistered 4,000 SEA which equates to 6.5 million on-demand streams for the set’s tracks. 

It’s Shakira’s first visit to the chart’s top tier since El Doradocompleted its 68-week run in the top 10 on the September 29, 2018-dated chart.

Sale El Sol includes “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa),” a track performed during the halftime show and one of her six tracks re-entering the Latin Digital Song Sales chart at No. 2. It registered 8,000 U.S. downloads sold in the week ending February 6. The four other titles resurging in the lists’ top 10 are “Loca” at  No. 3, “La Tortura,” featuring Alejandro Sanz, at No. 7, “Chantaje” featuring Maluma at No. 8, and “Underneath Your Clothes” at No. 10.

In sum, Shakira’s total catalog of songs increased by 201% in on-demand streams (audio and video combined) with 54 million clicks registered, up from 18 million in the prior week. 

Two other albums impact Top Latin Albums following Shakira’s Super Bowl performance. While El Dorado rockets up the Top Latin Albums chart hiking 39-11, Donde Están Los Ladrones also re-enters at No. 30.
