Anthony Ruivivar’s career has reached a new frequency…
The 45-year-old part-Spanish actor has been cast in Frequency, the CW’s drama pilot based on Toby Emmerich’s sci-fi thriller.
The television project, written by Supernatural showrunner Jeremy Carver, also stars Riley Smith, Peyton List and Mekhi Phifer.
Frequency centers on Raimy (List), a police detective in 2016 who discovers that she’s able to speak via a ham radio with her estranged father, Frank Sullivan (Smith), a detective who died in 1996.
Ruivivar will play Stan Hope, an NYPD plainclothes detective who is Frank’s handler with the department, who calls the shots on Frank’s day-to-day undercover operation.
Ruivivar’s credits include Banshee and American Horror Story.
