Dev is attracting more bees with honey (dip)

The 25-year-old half-Mexican singer-songwriter and rapper has released the colorful music video for “Honey Dip,” one of the standout tracks on her impressive new EP, Bittersweet July.

The L.A.-based songstress, best known as the voice of Far*East Movement’s Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 “Like a G6,” filmed the clip at her house in California.

Directed by “Gucci Gucci” auteur Kreayshawn, the “Honey Dip” video finds Dev taking control of her relationship while rocking a smiley-face robe and sipping tea. By signing on to helm the video, Kreayshawn helped capture the buoyancy of the track, which was produced by Benny Cassette and co-written by Dev and David Singer-Vine, formerly of The Cataracts.

“It was such a fun experience to collaborate with my friend Kreayshawn, who directed the video for ‘Honey Dip,’ and watch our vision come to life,” says Dev. “It was important for me to keep things real in the video, so we shot it at my home in Los Angeles and tried to incorporate aspects from my day to day life.”
