The 10-year-old Latino actor has earned a British Independent Film Awards (BIFAs) nomination.

Olbera Nuñez is nominated in the Best Supporting Actorcategory for his breakthrough role as Yuli in the The Carlos Acosta Story, which follows the rise of the Cuban dancer Carlos Acosta from scrappy juvenile travieso to ballet superstar.

Olbera Nuñez has earned critical acclaim for strutting around as young Carlos with irrepressible energy.

Meanwhile, Diego Maradona, the documentary about the 59-year-old Argentine retired professional footballer, picked up a nod in the Best Documentary category.
