Cardi B’s Character Appears in New “Baby Shark’s Big Movie” Trailer

Cardi B hittin’ the high seas

A new trailer has been released for Baby Shark’s Big Movie, starring the 31-year-old half-Dominican American Grammy-winning singer and actress.

Cardi BIn addition to Cardi B, her rapper-husband Offset and their children, Kulture and Wave, the film also features Lance Bass and ENHYPEN.

All play their aquatic alter-egos in the animated children’s film arriving on December 8 on Nickelodeon and Paramount+.

The project marks the very first feature-length endeavor for Baby Shark, the hit preschool television program best known for its viral earworm of the same name, which charted in the Billboard Hot 100 top 40 in 2019.

The fishy film will find Cardi and Offset reprising their roles from Baby Shark Big Show!, Sharki B and Offshark, while the rap power couple’s two kids will voice Kulture Sharki and Wavey Shark. The family has been all aboard the “Baby Shark” train since the beginning, starting with Cardi posting an Instagram video in January 2019 of her doing a runway walk around a pool to the “Baby Shark” song.

“Good luck!” says Offset’s character toward the end of the two-minute trailer, with Cardi’s Sharki B telling Baby Shark: “You got this!”

The film will follow Baby Shark, voiced by Kimiko Glenn, as he works to save his best friend William, played by Luke Youngblood, from Ashley Tisdale’s Stariana, a jealous pop superstar who plots to steal Baby Shark’s special song for herself. Along the way, he encounters a boy band of belugas voiced by the seven members of ENHYPENHeeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon and Ni-ki — as well as a TV announcer named Lance Bass, played by… you guessed it, Lance Bass.

Cardi B & Patti LaBelle Team Up for Holiday-Themed Kitchen Collaboration

Cardi B is partnering with an R&B legend for a special kitchen collaboration…

The 31-year-old half-Dominican American Grammy-winning rap superstar is joining forces with Patti LaBelle to get people into the holiday spirit with a sweet collaboration.

Cardi B & Patti LaBelleCardi B and LaBelle have combined their dessert brands — Whipshots (Cardi B’s vodka-infused whipped cream) and Good Life pies (LaBelle’s pie brand) — for some boozy desserts that’ll add some spice to your Thanksgiving celebrations and beyond.

The two stars are appealing to your sweet tooth through a social media campaign that kicked off on Thursday, November 9. In a minute-and-a-half video, the Grammy-winning artists share holiday traditions while mixing the flavors of their desserts to create some iconic pairings.

“Let’s do pumpkin,” Cardi B tells LaBelle in a video posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) as she picks up a can of her Pumpkin Spice Whipshots to top LaBelle’s sweet potato pie. “Pumpkin for sweet potato?” the Godmother of Soul questioned. The “Bongos” rapper reassures her by saying, “They make love together — you gotta trust me.”

This won’t be the only taste fans get of the two together: The collaboration will span seven sitcom-inspired episodes of the stars concocting pairings your sweet tooth will be craving even after the holidays are over.

LaBelle’s Good Life Pies are available on Walmart, while Cardi B’s Whipshots can be found where most alcohol is sold, including Total Wine, DoorDash, GoPuff, Drizly, Albertsons and Vons.

J Balvin Earns Record-Extending 36th No. 1 on Billboard Latin Airplay Chart with “Dientes”

J Balvin is sinking his teeth into the Latin charts…

The 38-year-old Colombian musica urbana singer/songwriter has added a record-extending 36th No. 1 to his Billboard Latin Airplay account as his latest single “Dientes,” with Usher and DJ Khaled, climbs 9-1 on the November 4-dated ranking. Usher and Khaled add their second leader.

J Balvin, Dientes“Dientes” becomes the Greatest Gainer of the week with 11 million audience impressions, up 51%, earned in the U.S. during the October 20-26 tracking week, according to Luminate.

With “Dientes,” J Balvin earns his first No. 1 on the overall Latin Airplay chart in 2023. His last effort, “Nivel de Perreo” with Ryan Castro, reached a No. 26 high in September 2022. Prior, “Forever My Love” and “Sigue,” both collaborations with Ed Sheeran, took Balvin to the summit for one week each in April 2022.

Balvin first broke the No. 1 barrier with “AM” with Farruko in 2014, for one week in charge, and became a staple at the format with six more No. 1s from his next 10 chart visits. In total, Balvin has collected 36 champs, further distancing from the competition.

Here’s the rundown of artists with the most No. 1s on Latin Airplay since the chart began in 1994:

36, J Balvin
33, Ozuna
32, Enrique Iglesias
28, Daddy Yankee
23, Maluma
22, Bad Bunny
22, Wisin

“Dientes” brings Usher to the lead after more than two decades, after his featured role in Romeo Santos’ ”Promise” ruled for 10 weeks between 2011-12. Between his two chart-topping singles, he landed a No. 35 high through his featured turn in David Guetta’s “Without You” in 2012.

DJ Khaled, meanwhile, scores his second No. 1 after Jennifer Lopez’s “Dinero” — where he is featured along with Cardi B — led for one week in 2018.

Back to the champ, in addition to securing all artists a new No. 1, “Dientes” gives UMLE its fourth ruler in 2023, after the label dominated with Karol G and Shakira’s TQG” (two weeks between May and July), Alejandro Fernandez’s “No Es Que Me Quiera Ir” and Feid and Sean Paul’s “Nina Bonita” (both for one week in Aug.)
