Isaac to Perform Live at Another Day, Another Time: Celebrating the Music of “Inside Llewyn Davis”

The 33-year-old Guatemalan and Cuban American actor will be performing at Another Day, Another Time: Celebrating the Music of Inside Llewyn Davis, based on the film which stars Isaac as struggling musician meandering through New York City’s 1960s folk scene.

In addition to Isaac, the benefit concert – which shines a spotlight on the Joel and Ethan Coen-directed film that earned the Grand Prix award at the Cannes Film Festival in May – will feature performances by Avett Brothers, Joan Baez, Colin Meloy of The Decemberists, Marcus Mumford, Conor Oberst, Patti Smith, Gillian Welch & Dave Rawlings and Jack White. Additionally, the films other stars Carey Mulligan, John Goodman and Stark Sands are set to perform.

The benefit concert will take place on September 29 at The Town Hall in New York City.

The folk bill is inspired by the Coen brothers film. Joel and Ethan Coen and T Bone Burnett are producing the event, with some of the proceeds benefiting the National Recording Preservation Foundation.

Tickets go on sale on Wednesday, August 21.

CBS Films has released the latest trailer for the critically acclaimed Inside Llewyn Davis, starring Oscar Isaac.

The 33-year-old Guatemalan and Cuban American actor stars as a struggling musician meandering through New York City’s 1960s folk scene in the Joel and Ethan Coen-directed film, which earned the Grand Prix award at the Cannes Film Festival in May.

The redband trailer has arrived for the 28-year-old half-Puerto Rican actress and Parks and Recreation star’s latest film, complete with raunchy jokes and sight gags.

In the film, Plaza’s character Brandy was her class valedictorian but managed to finish high school with her virginity intact. One raucous graduation party later, she decides to remedy the situation before starting college in the fall.

Watch for Brandy stumbling over her unfamiliarity with certain terms of, er, endearment.

Director Maggie Carey’s 1993-set comedy boasts the tagline, “From straight A’s to her first F.”

The film, which co-stars Bill Hader, Alia Shawkar and Johnny Simmons, opens July 26.

CBS Films has upped the domestic release date for the 28-year-old half-Puerto Rican actress’ next movie The To-Do List some three weeks earlier.

Plaza’s comedy, which centers on an awkward overachiever who tries to make up for her sexual underachieving in high school before she heads to college, has been moved up from August 16 to July 26.

Instead of facing off against Universal’s action-comedy sequel Kick-Ass 2, it will now serve as counterprogramming to Fox’s highly anticipated film The Wolverine.

Along with Plaza, writer-director Maggie Carey’s film also stars Johnny Simmons, Bill Hader, Alia Shawkat, Rachel Bilson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Andy Samberg and Connie Britton.

CBS Films has announced plans to release Joel and Ethan Coen’s Inside Llewyn Davis, starring the 33-year-old half-Guatemalan/half-Cuban actor, in December.

The film will open in limited release December 6 and expand out December 20 — during the heart of awards season.

Inside Llewyn Davis takes place in the folk-music circuit in New York’s Greenwich Village in the 1960s.

Carey Mulligan, John Goodman, Garrett Hedlund, Murray Abraham and Justin Timberlake co-star.

CBS Films landed domestic distribution rights to the heavily buzzed-about film, which will compete at the Cannes Film Festival, in February. Its first screening on the Sony lot drew a music crowd, a lot of movie stars and numerous studio execs, resulting in a ton of buzz.

The Release Date for Arias’ “The Kings of Summer” Moved Up to May

It looks like Moisés Arias will be back on the big screen two weeks sooner than originally planned…

The 18-year-old Colombian American actor and former Hannah Montana star’s latest film The Kings of Summerwhich was previously called Toy’s House, will now come out on May 31.

CBS Filmswhich picked up the domestic rights to the coming-of-age story after its critically acclaimed premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, had originally planned to release the film on June 14.

The Kings of Summer, written by Chris Galletta and directed by Jordan Vogt-Robert, centers on three friends who decide to spend their summer building a house in the woods and living off the land.

CBS Films recently released the first official trailer for the film, which features Arias showing off his mad drum and dance skills in the middle of the woods.

The film also stars Nick RobinsonGabriel BassoNick OffermanMegan Mullally and Alison Brie.

Arias’ previous film credits include Nacho LibreThe Perfect Game and Hannah Montana: The Movie.

The coming-of-age comedy, which was originally titled Toy’s House, earned rave reviews at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. CBS Films acquired the domestic rights for the film shortly after.

Along with Arias, The Kings of Summer stars Nick Robinson and Gabriel Basso as teenagers who head into the wilderness to build a house and live off the land. Nick Offerman, Megan Mullally and Alison Brie co-star.

CBS Films has acquired the domestic distribution rights to the 33-year-old half-Guatemalan/half-Cuban actor’s highly anticipated film Inside Llewyn Davis.

Directed by Joel and Ethan Coen, the film is set in the folk-music circuit in downtown New York’s Greenwich Village in the 1960s.

Isaac, who impressed critics with the song he penned and performed in the reunion film 10 Years, stars as the singer-songwriter who navigates through that music scene.

Carey Mulligan, John Goodman, Garrett Hedlund, F. Murray Abraham and Justin Timberlake co-star.

CBS Films acquired the U.S. rights for the for close to $4 million, according to Deadline.com.

No word yet on when the film will be released in the U.S.

Arias’ Dark Comedy “Toy’s House” Acquired by CBS Films

CBS Films has announced that it has acquired domestic rights to the coming-of-age comedy Toy’s House, starring the 18-year-old Colombian American actor and former Hannah Montana scene-stealer.

Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts, the movie premiered to rave reviews over the weekend at the this year’s Sundance Film Festival.

Toy’s House, which has been compared to the classic films Stand By Me and The Goonies, follows three teenage boys as they head into the wilderness with a plan to build a house and live off the land.

Along with Arias, the film stars Nick Robinson, Gabriel Basso, Nick Offerman, Megan Mullally, Alison Brie and Mary Lynn Rajskub.
