Saporta Weds Erin Fetherston in Barbados

Gabe Saporta is no longer a single man…

The 33-year-old Uruguayan singer and Cobra Starship front man and his fiancée Erin Fetherston exchanged wedding vows over the weekend.

Saporta and Fetherston returned to Barbados, where they got engaged less than six months ago, to say their ‘I dos.’

“The couple chose to tie the knot in the gardens of the historical St. Nicholas Abbey plantation,” a rep tells Us Weekly of the nuptials. “Fetherston wore a gown of her own design, and Saporta wore a custom Gieves & Hawkes suit. Images of the wedding will be featured in Martha Stewart Weddings‘ September issue.”

Saporta, who lends his voice to Eve’s latest single “Make It Out This Town,” proposed to his girlfriend on New Year’s Eve.

“I woke up at dawn to go collect coral and flowers from the beach next to our cottage,” he told People. “I used them to write out my proposal on our patio and then I woke Erin up in a frenzy to come see a ‘monkey’ that had appeared in our backyard. My sleepy-eyed bride quickly realized the only monkey that morning was me … and of course, she said, ‘Yes!’ “

Eve Releases Music Video for “Make It Out This Town” featuring Saporta

Gabe Saporta isn’t just lending his voice to Eve’s latest single… He’s also adding some serious sex appeal to the music video for the track.

The 33-year-old Uruguayan singer and Cobra Starship front man appears in the official clip for the rap superstar’s song “Make It Out This Town.”

The music video aims to inspire today’s youth with empowering visuals and a positive message.

The track is the first official offering from Eve’s long-delayed fourth studio album “Lip Lock,” which is scheduled to go on sale on May 14. The accompanying music video features high school students dealing with their problems and overcoming them with assistance from the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization, of which Eve is an ambassador.

“I am releasing ‘Make It Out This Town’ as my first single from Lip Lock because I wanted to share the positive place I have come into,” said Eve. “I went through obstacles to get my music and message out and nothing embodies this more than this song, which also mirrors my recent honor and connection that comes with my role as an ambassador for Big Brothers Big Sisters. The song is dedicated to them.”

Saporta Appears on Eve’s “Make It Out This Town” Track

Cobra Starship’s Gabe Saporta is lending his support to Eve’s musical return…

The 33-year-old Uruguay-born lead singer of the synthpop band, who recently confirmed his engagement to designer Erin Fetherston, lends his voice to the Grammy-winning rap superstar’s new single “Make It Out This Town.”

It’s the latest single from Eve’s upcoming album Lip Lock, which is slated for release on May 14. It’s her fourth studio effort and her first album since 2002’s Eve-Olution.

Co-written by Claude Kelly and featuring vocals by Saporta, “Make It Out Of This Town” appeals to the masses because of its well-crafted sugary-sweet Top 40-centric pop melody and Eve’s rap skills on verses like: “Wanna know when it’s your second, your minute, your time/ Sick of dreaming/ Wanna lay the pictures in your mind/ Never been like all the others/ You’re one of a kind.”

The single has some heart as well… It originally premiered last month as part of Big Brothers Big Sisters‘ National Mentoring Month conference in Washington, D.C.

“I wanted to share the positive place I have come into. I went through obstacles to get my music and message out and nothing embodies this more than this song, which also mirrors my recent honor and connection that comes with my role as an ambassador for Big Brothers Big Sisters,” said Eve about debuting the track at the conference. “The song is dedicated to them.”

Saporta & Erin Fetherston Confirm Engagement

Gabe Saporta is changing his status from “in a relationship” to “engaged”…

The 33-year-old Uruguay-born lead singer of the synthpop band Cobra Starship has gotten engaged to fashion designer Erin Fetherston.

Gabe Saporta & Erin Fetherston

Saporta asked Fetherston to marry him on New Year’s Eve while vacationing in Barbados. “I woke up at dawn to go collect coral and flowers from the beach next to our cottage,” Saporta tells People. “I used them to write out my proposal on our patio and then I woke Erin up in a frenzy to come see a ‘monkey’ that had appeared in our backyard. My sleepy-eyed bride quickly realized the only monkey that morning was me … and of course, she said, ’Yes!’”

Saporta and Fetherson, who started dating in 2010, say they began serious marriage talks this past fall — and she was even involved in designing her engagement ring. But Saporta couldn’t resist pulling a few fake-outs when it came to finally popping the question.

“Since she knew about the ring, surprising her with a proposal was going to prove a challenge,” he says. “My first step was to psych her out. On Christmas Eve, I gave her a nicely wrapped ring-box that did not contain her engagement ring. It contained a sick amethyst cocktail ring instead.”

Fetherston’s engagement ring is sick as well… Designed by Lorraine Schwartz, it’s an emerald-cut stone set in a pavé basket on a pavé band. “The platinum was oxidized to give the ring a vintage feeling,” says Fetherson. “I love it because it’s luminous and romantic, with the right amount of edge.”

While the happy couple are still planning the events surrounding their big day, Fetherston already has ideas for her gown and the ceremony. “I will definitely design my own dress,” she says, “and my fairytale aesthetic will undoubtedly influence the look and feel of the wedding.”

As for Saporta, currently recording a new album with his band, he says, “It’s gonna be a classy shindig.”
