“World Go Boom” with Mars, Lopez & Pitbull, Etc.

It should come as no surprise that this year’s “United State of Pop” mashup, courtesy of DJ Earworm, features la musica of several Latino artists. After all, Bruno Mars, Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull have dominated the Billboard charts this year.

The fifth installment of DJ Earworm’s annual mix of the year’s 25 hottest pop songs, which has been dubbed “World Go Boom,” features the music of Bruno Mars, Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull and Enrique Iglesias, as well as Fergie’s Black Eyed Peas and Christina Aguilera’s collaboration with Maroon 5.

Bündchen Reveals Third Collection for C&A…

She may be a runway superstar, but there’s more to Gisele Bündchen than a stellar walk…

The 31-year-old Brazilian supermodel—one of the world’s most powerful women, according to Forbes magazine—recently launched her new collection of clothes and accessories for the Dutch retailer C&A.

The “Gisele Bündchen for C&A” summer collection, her third collection for the retailer, includes cropped blazers, flowery dresses and Panama hats.

The collection will only be available at the Brazilian branches of the retail chain.

In addition to its partnership with Bündchen, C&A has previously collaborated with other Latina celebrities, including Christina Aguilera, Fergie and Thalía.

Mars Receives More Grammy Attention!

Bruno Mars is apparently one of the Recording Academy’s Grammy golden boys…

After scoring seven nominations last year, the 26-year-old part-Puerto Rican singer/songwriter has scored six nominations for the 54th annual Grammy Awards, including nods in the three top categories.

Mars’ “Grenade” is nominated for record of the year honors—which recognizes performance and production—along with Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep,” Bon Iver’s “Holocene,” Mumford & Sons’ “The Cave” and Katy Perry’s “Firework.”

In addition, Mars’ I’d-die-for-your-love tune is up for song of the year, along with Kanye West’s “All of the Lights” (featuring Rihanna, Fergie and Kid Cudi), Mumford & Sons’ “The Cave,” Bon Iver’s “Holocene” and Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep.”

Meanwhile Mars’ “Doo-Wops and Hooligans” is nominated for album of the year, along with Adele’s “21,” Foo Fighters, “Wasting Light,” Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” and Rihanna’s “Loud.”

Mars also received nominations for Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album.

Rap superstar Kanye West led the field with seven nominations, while British soul singer Adele received six nominations.

Other Hispanic musicians and acts receiving nods include Fergie, Christina Aguilera, Calle 13, Maná, Intocable and Pepe Aguilar.

First Look: Martin’s New M.A.C. Viva Glam Ad

Ricky Martin isn’t just an international singing sensation, he’s now officially a M.A.C. daddy…

The 39-year-old Puerto Rican heartthrob appears in the cosmetic company’s 2012 Viva Glam campaign with rap-sensation Nicki Minaj.

M.A.C. released an oh-so-colorful image for the campaign on the company’s Facebook page, which features Martin and Minaj. Shot by noted photographer David LaChapelle, the image shows Martin holding a supersized Viva Glam lipstick above his head while Minaj sits perched atop a motorcycle.

M.A.C. has said “every cent of Ricky and Nicki’s Viva Glam products, on-counter February 2012, goes to support the M·A·C AIDS Fund.”

Martin and Minaj are the latest celebrities to represent the line. Previous spokespeople include Fergie, Christina Aguilera and Lady Gaga.

Meanwhile, Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir was also announced as a new face of the brand in June.

To date, the M.A.C AIDS Fund has raised more than $224 million exclusively through the sale of its Viva Glam lip products, with 100 percent of the sale price going to fight HIV/AIDS.
