Génesis Rodríguez

Based on true events, Rodriguez and Vincent Piazzastar in the story about a 2002 incident when a young American couple traveled to the arctic mountains of Norway. After pulling over during a snowstorm, they wake up trapped in their SUV, buried underneath layers of snow and ice. It’s soon revealed that the woman is eight months pregnant. Amid escalating tension between them and dwindling supplies, the couple battles -30C temperatures, hallucinations and hypothermia in their struggle to survive.

The completed film was written by Daley Nixon and Walsh.

“It’s a thrill and honor for me and the entire Centigradeteam to be premiering in North America with IFC,” said Walsh. “It makes all the cold days shooting a car in a freezer totally worthwhile. Trailer Released for Kevin Smith’s “Tusk,” Starring Rodriguez and Justin Long

Génesis Rodríguez is ready to thrill audiences this September…

During Friday night’s Comic-Con activities, writer and director Kevin Smith revealed the trailer for his oddball horror thriller Tusk, starring the 26-year-old Venezuelan- and Cuban-American actress.

Haley Joel Osment, Kevin Smith and Genesis Rodriguez, Tusk

“All that separates man from animal… are the stories he tells,” readers the message at the beginning of the film’s first official trailer.

Set in the Canadian wilderness, the film stars Justin Long as a podcaster who’s assigned to interview a mysterious seafarer (portrayed by Michael Parks) who happens to have a strange obsession with walruses.

The idea for the movie came during the recording of SModcast259 The Walrus and The Carpenter. In the episode, Smith and his longtime friend and producer Scott Mosier discussed an article featuring a Gumtree ad where a homeowner was offering a living situation free of charge, if the lodger agrees to dress as a walrus. The discussion went on from there, resulting in almost an hour of the episode being spent on reconstructing and telling a hypothetical story based on the ad. Smith then told his Twitter followers to tweet “#WalrusYes” if they wanted to see their hypothetical turned into a film, or “#WalrusNo” if they didn’t. A big majority of Smith’s followers agreed that the film should be made.

In addition to Long, Parks and Rodríguez, who portrays Allison in the film, Tusk also stars Haley Joel Osment and Johnny Depp.

Tusk is scheduled for release on September 19, 2014, by A24 Films.

Don’t let her glasses and funky fashion fool you: Honey may be as sweet as her namesake, but she has a fire in her belly and a can-do attitude that make her pretty much unstoppable. Her knowledge of alchemy proves powerful, too, when the effusive brainiac becomes part of the “Big Hero 6” and creates clever concoctions that when thrown, can get her team out of nearly any jam.

In addition to Rodriguez, the voice cast includes Maya Rudolph, James Cromwell, Damon Wayans Jr., T.J. Miller, Alan Tudyk, Jamie Chung and Daniel Henney.

Big Hero 6 is the first Disney film to feature Marvel Comics characters and is adapted by Don Hall and Jordan Roberts from the Marvel comic mini-series of the same name, whose team and characters were created by Man of Action’s Duncan Rouleau and Steven T. Seagle.

Hall and Bolt‘s Chris Williams co-directed the film, which hits theaters in 3D on November 7.
