Selena Gomez

Gomez earns her first chart-topper more than 10 years after first appearing on the chart, as her ballad vaults from No. 15 to No. 1 following its first full week of data tracking.

“Lose You to Love Me” blasts 20-1 on the Streaming Songs chart, with 38.8 million U.S. streams in the week ending Octpber 31, according to Nielsen Music, good for the Hot 100’s top Streaming Gainertrophy. It holds atop Digital Song Saleswith 39,000 sold in the same span

On the Radio Songschart, it debuts at No. 41 with 24.2 million audience impressions in the week ending November 3.

The song was released Wednesday, October 23and is expected to be the first tasteof Gomez’s upcoming album, her first since Revivalin 2015.

“Thank you guys for streaming and committing to this song! It means the world to me! This song has my whole heart.” Gomez said on social media, while sharing a heartfelt post to her Instagram feed.

Gomez achieves her first Hot 100 No. 1 after previously peaking as high as No. 5 with both “Good For You,” featuring A$AP Rocky, in 2015 and “Same Old Love” in 2016. It’s her eighth top 10 and first since “It Ain’t Me,” with Kygo, reached No. 10 in May 2017.

With Gomez having first appeared on the Hot 100 dated January 10, 2009 (at No. 99 with the eventual No. 58-peaking “Tell Me Something I Don’t Know“), she reaches No. 1 at last, 10 years and 10 months after her first entry. She completes the longest wait from a first visit to a first No. 1 (as a lead artist) since Daddy Yankee, who took 12 years and nine months from his first charted title to his first leader, “Despacito,” with Luis Fonsi and featuring Justin Bieber, in May 2017.

Among women, Gomez ends the longest wait for a first Hot 100 No. 1 in over 30 years, since pop icon Bette Midlerneeded 16 years, six months and two weeks from her first appearance in 1972 to her first No. 1, “Wind Beneath My Wings,” in June 1989.

Gomez Lands Her Sixth Top 10 Single on Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart

It’s a sweet sixth for Selena Gomez

Charlie Puths “We Don’t Talk Anymore,” featuring the 24-year-old half-Mexican American singer/actress, has reached the top 10 of Billboards Hot 100 chart, rising 12-10.

Selena Gomez

Gomez’s collaboration with Puth holds at No. 4 on the Digital Songs chart (53,000, down 10 percent; it’s on sale for 69 cents in the iTunes Store); pushes 13-12 on Streaming Songs (11.9 million, up 3 percent); and backtracks 16-17 on Radio Songs, but with a 5 percent gain to 64 million.

With the performance this week, Gomez achieves her sixth top 10 (and first in a featured role).

Gomez’s previous Top 10 singles on the chart include “Good For You” (peaked at No. 5), “Same Old Love” (No. 5), “The Heart Wants What It Wants” (No. 6), “Come & Get It” (No. 6), and “Hands To Myself” (No. 7).

Gomez’s Collab with Charlie Puth Reaches New High on Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart

Selena Gomez is thisclose to a sixth Top 10…

The 24-year-old half-Mexican American singer’s collaboration with Charlie Puth, “We Don’t Talk Anymore,” has reached a new high on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.

Selena Gomez

Gomez and Puth’s single jumps 18-13 on the chart. The single blasts into the Digital Songs sales chart’s top five (21-5), up 71 percent to 57,000 sold, according to Nielsen Music, boosted by 69-cent sale-pricing in the iTunes Store.

The collaboration backtracks 16-17 on the Radio Songs chart, but with a 5 percent lift to 56 million in airplay audience, and it rises 28-23 on the Streaming Songs chart (8.9 million U.S. streams, up 7 percent).

Should Puth and Gomez’s single hit the Hot 100’s top 10, it would become Gomez’s sixth top 10 and Puth’s second.

Gomez’s previous Top 10 singles on the chart include “Good For You” (peaked at No. 5), “Same Old Love” (No. 5), “The Heart Wants What It Wants” (No. 6), “Come & Get It” (No. 6), and “Hands To Myself” (No. 7).

Gomez Releases Video for New Single “Kill Em With Kindness”

Selena Gomez is covering kindness in her latest clip…

The 23-year-old half Mexican American singer/actress has released the official music video for her latest single “Kill Em With Kindness,” which dropped Monday.

Selena Gomez

In the clip Gomez recreates the vibe of a cover shoot as she poses for her portrait to be taken while others dance for the camera, in a very artful black and white.

Gomez is currently on her Revival Tour, which launched in Las Vegas on May 6.

She recently announced she’ll donate proceeds from her upcoming concert in Charlotte, North Carolina on Tuesday to charity, in light of the state’s controversial Public Facilities Privacy and Security Act (HB2) law, which many performers have come out against as discriminating against LGBT individuals.

“Kill Em With Kindness” comes on the heels of three No. 1 pop hits from her Revival album: “Good for You,” “Same Old Love” and “Hands to Myself.”

Gomez to Donate Proceeds from North Carolina Concert to LGBT Charity

Selena Gomez is performing in North Carolina despite the state’s controversial anti-LGBT bill. But, she’s doing it for a good reason.

The 23-year-old half-Mexican American singer will donate proceeds from her upcoming North Carolina concert to charity, and says she hopes “there will be a day soon when laws like HB2 won’t be a consideration.”

Selena Gomez

The Public Facilities Privacy and Security Act (HB2) law — often referred to as the “bathroom bill” — is widely perceived as being anti-LGBT. It requires that transgender people only use bathrooms that correspond with their sex at birth.

“I am very fortunate to have grown up in a home where I learned from an early age that everyone should be treated equally,” Gomez says in a statement, ahead of her June 7 concert at Charlotte, North Carolina’s Time Warner Cable Arena. “I went back and forth on whether I should cancel my concert in North Carolina and ultimately I think what is right for me is to move forward with my show and donate a portion of the proceeds to Equality North Carolina and their effort to defeat this act of discrimination. I’ve been reassured the venue I will be performing in has gender neutral bathrooms as I want everyone coming to my show to be welcomed. I feel like my generation is the most progressive one yet and believe there will be a day soon when laws like HB2 won’t even be a consideration.”

Gomez’s Revival Tour launched in Las Vegas on May 6 and continues through December with dates scheduled in North America, Europe and Asia. Proceeds from each ticket sold to the tour will benefit the Alliance for Lupus Research, a national voluntary health organization whose mission is to find better treatments and ultimately prevent lupus.

The pop princess’ latest single, “Kill Em With Kindness,” rose 22-19 on Billboard’s Pop Songs airplay chart dated June 11, and follows three No. 1 hits from the Revival album: “Good for You,” “Same Old Love” and “Hands to Myself.”

Gomez’s “Hands to Myself” Reaches No. 1 on Billboard’s Pop Songs Chart, Landing Her in Elite Company

Selena Gomez’s latest album is turning out to be Pop gold…

The 23-year-old half-Mexican American singer/actress has earned her third No. 1 on Billboard‘s Pop Songs radio airplay chart (dated April 16), as her latest single “Hands to Myself” lifts 2-1.

Selena Gomez

The song follows leaders “Good for You,” featuring A$AP Rocky, and “Same Old Love,” each of which led for two weeks beginning in September and January, respectively.

With all three songs from her latest album Revival, Gomez becomes just the sixth woman to score at least a trio of Pop Songs No. 1s from a single set (dating to the chart’s 1992 launch).

Here is the elite club and the albums and songs that gained them entrance:

Alanis Morissette, Jagged Little Pill: “Ironic,” “You Learn,” “Head Over Feet” (1996)

Avril Lavigne, Let Go: “Complicated,” “Sk8er Boi,” “I’m With You” (2002-03)

Lady Gaga, The Fame, “Just Dance” (featuring Colby O’Donis), “Poker Face,” “LoveGame,” “Paparazzi” (2009)

Katy Perry, Teenage Dream: “California Gurls” (featuring Snoop Dogg), “Teenage Dream,” “Firework,” “E.T.” (featuring Kanye West), “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.),” “The One That Got Away” (2010-12)

Taylor Swift, 1989: “Shake It Off,” “Blank Space,” “Style,” “Bad Blood” (featuring Kendrick Lamar), “Wildest Dreams” (2014-15)

Selena Gomez, Revival: “Good for You” (featuring A$AP Rocky), “Same Old Love,” “Hands to Myself” (2015-16)

Gomez to Receive Chart Topper Award at Billboard’s Women in Music Event

Selena Gomez is on a hot streak… And, she’s getting an award to prove it!

The 23-year-old half-Mexican American singer/actress will receive the Chart Topper award at Billboard’s annual Women in Music event, which will take place on December 11 in New York.

Selena Gomez

The prestigious award, won last year by Australian rapper Iggy Azalea, recognizes major career milestones on Billboard’s music charts.

Gomez has been in rare chart form. Her latest album, Revival, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in October with 117,000 equivalent first-week album units.

It’s Gomez’s second U.S. No. 1 album following 2013’s Stars Danceand to date she has enjoyed nearly 6.7 million worldwide album sales and over 22 million single sales.

The first single from Revival, “Good For You” featuring A$AP Rocky, is Gomez’s fastest-ever platinum seller and highest charting single on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 5. “Good For You” spent three consecutive weeks at No. 1 at Top 40 radio.

“In the last few months, Selena has broken onto the scene as an adult, and come into her own as an artist with the success of Revival,” comments Janice Min, co-president and chief creative officer of Guggenheim Media’s Entertainment Group, which consists of Billboard and The Hollywood Reporter. “We want to highlight this moment for a woman who has become a role model for many, a feminist, an independent voice whose new album truly showcases her as a mature artist.”

Lifetime has partnered with Billboard to televise the event for the first time on December 18, which will take place at Cipriani Midtown in New York.

Gomez to Reportedly Join Taylor Swift on Stage in Upcoming 1989 Tour Stop

Selena Gomez is ready to take the stage with Taylor Swift

The 23-year-old half-Mexican American singer/actress will reportedly serve as a special guest on her best friend’s 1989 tour, according to the U.K.’s Capital-FM station.

Selena Gomez

Capital posted a tweet on Sunday (August 16) after confirming that they were talking with Gomez:

“It’s official @selenagomez WILL be joining @taylorswift13 on stage as a guest!! She just announced it!! #excited @thisismax x,” read the tweet.

Reps for Swift and Gomez did not respond to a request from Billboard for comment, but the pairing makes sense: Gomez is featured in Swift’s tour videos that play in the stadiums during set breaks, and the former Disney star has a new single, “Good For You” featuring A$AP Rocky, that Swift has professed to adoring. Additionally, Gomez has a co-starring role in Swift’s “Bad Blood” video.

“Good For You” moves up to No. 11 on this week’s Billboard Hot 100 chart after debuting at No. 9.

Following a two-night stint at Gila River Arena in Glendale, Ariz. beginning on Monday (Aug. 17), Swift’s 1989 trek will touch down at the Staples Center in Los Angeles for five consecutive nights, beginning on Aug. 21.

Swift’s recent special guests included Fifth Harmony, for a rousing rendition of the all-girl group’s “Worth It.”

“Same Old Love” to be Gomez’s Next Single from Her Upcoming Album “Revival”

It’s the same old, same old for Selena Gomez

The 23-year-old half-Mexican American singer’s second single from her upcoming studio album, Revival, will be a song entitled “Same Old Love.”

Selena Gomez

The track was unveiled at the iHeartMedia Music Summit, a forum for labels to preview their upcoming material to radio bigwigs, earlier this week.

A source confirms to Billboard that “Same Old Love” is the official title and next single from Revival, due October 9, and it is believed that Charli XCX, Benny Blanco and Stargate were involved in the creation of the song.

Meanwhile, Gomez’s current single “Good For You” is still performing well on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Featuring A$AP Rocky, the track moves up to No. 13 on this week’s Hot 100, after peaking at No. 9.
