Morales to Star in the Family Comedy “Losing It”

Natalie Morales is losing it

The 31-year-old Cuban American actress has landed a lead role in Losing It, a single-camera family comedy from Growing Up Fisher and Truth Be Told creator DJ Nash and Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment.

Written by Nash, Losing It centers on three misfit adult siblings and their parents who — between divorce, new parenthood, early-onset dementia and let’s just say life — are all losing it in different ways. And family is the only way they’re going to find it.

Morales will play one of the siblings, Charlie, the adopted sister who is a baker.

The casting comes on the heels of Morales’ arc on the new Netflix dark comedy series Santa Clarita Diet, which is produced by Kapital Entertainment. This marks Morales’ return to ABC where she co-starred on the underrated comedy series Trophy Wife.

Her other credits include The Grinder, Parks and Recreation and The Middleman.

Jimenez to Star in the Fox Comedy Pilot “The Mick”

Carla Jimenez has landed a new television gig… 

The 37-year-old Latina actress has booked a series regular role opposite Kaitlin Olson in the Fox comedy pilot The Mick.

Greenwich, CT to raise the spoiled kids of her wealthy sister who has fled the country to avoid a federal indictment. She quickly learns what the rest of us already know — other people’s children are awful.

Jimenez will play Alba, the Pembertons’ housekeeper who gets along famously with Mickey.

She previously recurred on Growing Up Fisher, Last Man Standing, and Raising Hope.

Gonzaga to Star in “Still Punching The Clown”

Ginger Gonzaga is ready to clown around…

The Latina actress will star in Still Punching The Clown, the sequel to Punching The Clown, which won the prize for Best Narrative Feature at the Slamdance Film Festival.

Henry Phillips returns to star in the sequel, which he again co-wrote with director Gregori Viens.

Still Punching The Clown follows Phillips’ misadventures as a stand-up comic attempting to make a name for himself amid myriad trials and tribulations as he tries to balance success with artistic integrity.

In addition to Gonzaga, who last starred in the television series Mixology, Still Punching The Clown also stars J.K. Simmons, Sarah Silverman, Mike Judge, Jim Jefferies, Derek Waters, Ellen Ratner and stand-up comedians Tig Notaro, Nikki Glaser and Doug Stanhope.

Gonzaga’s other credits include television appearances on Anger Management, Growing Up Fisher and The Millers. She also starred in the film Ted.
