The 27-year-old half-Mexican American singer/actress helped kick off Super Bowl LIV on Sunday night at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami with a soaring rendition of the National Anthem

Wearing an all-white pantsuit with a belt, Lovato delivered a note-perfect rendition of The Star Spangled Banner, nailing both the dramatic “land of the free” climax and the elongated closing “brave” note.

The Latino actor/singer has been cast in the world premiere in New York this September of multi-platinum songwriter Ross Golan’s musical The Wrong Man.

Vasquez will star opposite Tony-nominee Joshua Henry and Ciara Renéein the musical.

The Wrong Man is set in Reno, Nevada, and tells the story of Duran, a man just scraping by, who is accused of a murder he says he didn’t commit.

Golan’s first stage musical was initially conceived as an acoustic solo piece, but over a decade has grown to include a full-length concept album and an animated film.

Previews begin on Wednesday, September 18, with an opening night of October 7, at the Off Broadway MCC Theater.

J Balvin Signs Management Deal with Scooter Braun’s SB Projects

The 34-year-old Colombian reggaeton singer has signed a management deal with Scooter Braun’s SB Projects, according to Billboard.

J Balvin will be the latest addition to a superstar SB roster that includes Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, and in May added Demi Lovato and Idina Menzel.

“We are very excited to be working with my long-time friend J Balvin,” Braun said in a statement provided to Billboard. “He is not only an incredible talent, but his work ethic and creativity are what has allowed him to be one of the top global acts in any language. He loves his culture and his energy is contagious. We are excited for this new adventure together.”

Chita Rivera to Perform at the “Concert For America” Benefit

The 85-year-old half-Puerto Rican Broadway sensation will perform in the Concert For America, which will take place on June 30.

Rivera, the first Hispanic woman and the first Latino AmericanKennedy Center Honors recipient,will join a list of participants that includesTina Fey, Idina Menzel, Audra McDonaldMandy Gonzalez and more.

Hosted by Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley of SiriusXM, the benefit consisting of music, comedy and commentary will take place in New York’s Great Hall at The Cooper Union.

Rudetsky said in a statement, “James and I have been increasingly horrified at what’s going on with these families struggling at the border.” He added that the scheduled Concert For America will coincide with the coming day of national protests, and will benefit the non-profits working with families at the southern border.

General Admission tickets are $25, and limited VIP seats are $250, with proceeds going to Al Otro Lado, Texas Civil Rights Project, ACLU Foundation of Texas and Florence Project, all groups working to protect the civil and human rights of families on the border. Tickets can be purchased here.

The event will livestream on Facebook and at ConcertsforAmerica.com, beginning at 5:00 pm, ET on Saturday, June 30.

Perez and the gang performed their charity single “What the World Needs Now is Love as a tribute to victims of gun violence during the D.N.C. on Wednesday (July 27).

Performers included Ben VereenDarren Criss, Brian Stokes Mitchell, with each getting a chance to sing the classic song written by Hal David and Burt Bacharach, inciting the audience to join arms and sing along in unity.

The joyous performance also included Kristen Bell, Debra Messing, Richard Kind and Stephanie J. Block, Tyne Daly and more.

The 32-year-old Honduran American actress appears in a special Elizabeth Banks-produced a cappella music video in support of the Democratic Party’s nominee for President of the United States.

In a nod to the Pitch Perfect films she produces, Banks, along with Bruce Cohen and Mike Thompkins, recruited a long list of Hollywood actors and singers, including the former Ugly Betty star, for an a cappella version of Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song.”

In addition to Ferrera, other Hollywood elit appearing in the video include Eva Longoria, Kristin Chenoweth, Rob Reiner, Mandy Moore, Alan Cumming, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Idina Menzel, Renee Fleming, Aisha Tyler, Jane Fonda, Sheryl Crow and, at the very end, Sia with a loud and proud, “Go Hillary.”

Full audio of the 28-year-old part-Spanish singer belting out the instaclassic Frozen song “Let It Go” from the upcoming season of Fox‘s musical dramedy Glee has surfaced.

While it comes as little surprise that Michele’s character Rachel Berry is covering one of the biggest songs of 2014, fans will quickly note that there’s something a little extra special about this cover.

Idina Menzel, who performs the song for the film’s soundtrack, portrays Rachel’s biological mom on the series. The two even memorably performed “I Dreamed a Dream” together on the show, among other performances.

It’s been said the two Broadway alums have a similar sound, and Michele’s cover of “Let It Go” is no exception.

Confirming buzz from last week, the 28-year-old part-Spanish American actress and Glee star on Friday tweeted a photo of herself filming a performance of “Let It Go” from Frozen.

“I don’t care.. What they’re going to say.. Let the storm rage on.. The cold never bothered me anyway…” tweeted Michele, along with a photo of her in a stunning evening gown.

Michele’s character Rachel Berry will indeed channel her inner Elsa — for the show’s sixth season premiere, slated to air sometime in 2015.

Interestingly, “Let It Go” is performed in Frozen by Idina Menzel, who portrayed Michele’s character’s biological mother on Glee.

As previously reported, the Fox musical dramedy’s final season will find the gang returning to Lima, Ohio, to revive the New Directions, along with a few other no-longer-surprise twists.

Blacc to Perform at This Year’s MLB Home Run Derby

The 35-year-old Panamanian-American singer, who recently announced plans to release an enhanced version of his latest album Lift Your Spirit, will perform during baseball’s big weekend.

Blacc will take the stage during Major League Baseball’s Home Run Derby on July 14. The event will air on ESPN.

No word yet on what song or songs Blacc will perform during the festivities.

Meanwhile, Tony-winning performerIdina Menzel will sing the national anthem at the MLB All-Star Game on July 15 in Minneapolis. She’ll also perform during the pre-game ceremony, including a cover of Bob Dylan‘s “Forever Young.”

The game at Target Field will air on Fox, where country singer Joe Nichols will sing “God Bless America.”

MLB All-Star week will also include a Saturday concert by Grammy-winning rockers Imagine Dragons at the TCF Bank Stadium. A day later, Panic! At the Disco will perform at the All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game at Target Field.

Disney Releases Three Spanish Versions of “Let It Go” for Latin America & Spain

Long before winning the Oscar for Best Original Song, Frozen’s “Let It Go” had already managed to become a global smash.

The song, performed by Idina Menzel’s character Elsa in the Oscar-winning animated film, received a pop makeover for Frozen’s closing credits by Demi Lovato.

But that’s not all…

In all 41 international versions of the song were recorded for the movie’s distribution around the world, including three en español.

Disney tapped rising teen singers to perform “Let it Go” in Spanish for young audiences in Latin America and Spain, where Frozen is known as Una Aventura Congelada (Latin America) and El Reino del Hielo (Spain). The Latin American version is available in the U.S. as an import, although it is currently sold out on Amazon.

Here’s a look at the three Spanish versions:

Carmen Sarahí // The native of Nuevo Laredo, Mexico and past contestant on La Voz México had the honor of portraying Elsa in the version of the film for Latin American and U.S. Latino viewers. She sings “Let it Go,” here translated as “Libre Soy.”

Gisela // A Disney soundtrack veteran and well-known teen pop singer in Spain, Gisela interpreted “Let it Go” for the country’s Frozen soundtrack, where it’s translated as “¡Sueltalo!

Martina Stoessel // The Argentine teen star is known to audiences in South America for her title role in the Disney Channel series Violetta. Disney selected Stoessel to record her own version of “Libre Soy” on the soundtracks for both Latin America and Spain versions of the soundtrack, singing the song as the credits roll. She also sings the song on the Italian Frozen soundtrack.
