Jennifer Lopez is in (the) morning

The 51-year-old Puerto Rican superstar has released the steamy new single, “In The Morning.”

Lopez, who recently teamed up with her Marry Me co-star Maluma for a pair of tracks and a sultry American Music Awards performance, is using the new single to demonstrate her continued power as a solo artist before the year draws to a close.

“In The Morning” recalls some of J. Lo’s most fiercely loved early hits like “If You Had My Love,” with a more swaggering confidence and unabashedly sexual lyrics; Lopez comfortably navigates through the rhythmic pop track.

Although she hasn’t released a proper album since 2014, Lopez’s strong 2020 output must have fans hoping the next one is not too far away.

Jennifer Lopez Earns 18th No. 1 on Billboard’s Dance Club Songs Chart with “Baila Conmigo”

Jennifer Lopezhas an extra special reason to dance…

The 50-year-old Puerto Rican superstar tops Billboard’s Dance Club Songs Chart (dated Feb. 29) for an 18th time, as “Baila Conmigo” rises 2-1.

J.Loreplaces Madonna’s “I Don’t Search I Find” on the chart to earn her 18th career No. 1 on the chart.

Her string of chart-toppers officially spans four decades; she first ruled the chart with “If You Had My Love” in 1999.

Lopez’s newest song may not be familiar to the English-speaking U.S., but it’s already a huge hit in Latin America: “Baila Conmigo,” a brassy, hard-driving club record originally produced by Dayvi and Victor Cardenas and sung by Kelly Ruiz.

But J.Lo sings stern, rapid-fire lines over the track’s martial horns, and she also adds an “oh-oh-oh” chant that’s guaranteed to play well during her next arena show.

Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart ranks the top songs in night clubs based on DJ playlist data.

Jennifer Lopez Notches 17th No. 1 Song on Billboard’s Dance Club Songs Chart with “Medicine”

The electric single is just one of the many party starters nestled inside of J.Lo‘s seamless catalog.

Though her resume also boasts such Billboard Hot 100 No. 1s as “I’m Real” and “If You Had My Love,” Lopez humbly understands what No. 17 means to her career, especially in the competitive realm of dance music.

“You know, for me, because I’m a dancer — because I started that way since I loved dancing in clubs and that’s how I started — it’s very special to me, that part of my life,” she tells Billboard. “That’s kind of what molded me and shaped me into being the performer that you see out there today. So to have dance No. 1’s is like, ‘Yeah, those songs were hot.’ That’s where people who dance, that’s where people who live music really live. Yeah, so, it’s an amazing thing to be able to have that.”
