Aiko took home the Outstanding Album award for Chilombo, which received a Grammy nomination this year.
Eric Velasquez has also picked up an Image Award…
The 59-year-old Afro-Puerto Rican illustrator won in the Outstanding Literary Work – Children for She Was the First!: The Trailblazing Life of Shirley Chisholm, alongside author Katheryn Russell-Brown.
