Fonsi, who is up for three Grammy Awards this weekend, has released a Spanish/Mandarin version of the track.

Fonsi has joined voices with Singaporean singer/songwriter JJ Lin to record a new version of “Despacito” that goes back and forth between Spanish and Mandarin.

The song has been in the making since July 2017, and due to natural disasters, it was on hold.

The new version was produced with international songwriting/production team Tat Tong and Jovany Barreto — aka The Swaggernautz — and Harry Chang as co-writer.
