Bolognesi’s “Rio 2096: A Story of Love and Fury” Named Best Feature at Annecy International Film Festival Awards

The 47-year-old Brazilian filmmaker and screenwriter’s animated film Rio 2096: A Story of Love and Fury was named Best Feature at the 2013 Annecy International Film Festival Awards on Saturday.

Rio 2096: A Story of Love and Fury

The film, written and directed by Bolognesi, highlights important events in Brazil’s history. The film’s voice cast includes Rodrigo Santoro, Camila Pitanga and Selton Mello.

In all, 236 films screened in competition at the annual animation festival.

Meanwhile U.S. filmmaker Daniel Sousa’s Sundance short Feral took home three honors.
