Miguel Pinzon Lands Recurring Role on Season Five of Freeform’s “Good Trouble”

Miguel Pinzon is getting into some (good) trouble

The Latino actor has joined Season 5 of Freeform’s Good Trouble in a recurring role.

Miguel PinzonPinzon will play Ethan, a former friend of Davia’s (Emma Hunton) from her days in New York who is in L.A. workshopping a musical he wrote.

His first appearance will be in Episode 3, which airs on March 30.

Good Trouble follows the residents of downtown Los Angeles’ The Coterie as they juggle career, love and friendship and learn that standing up for what you believe in requires making a little noise and getting into trouble.

The series stars Cierra Ramirez, Zuri Adele, Sherry Cola, Tommy Martinez, Hunton, Josh Pence, Beau Mirchoff, Bryan Craig and Priscilla Quintana. Maia Mitchell left at the end of Season 3.

Pinzon previously had a recurring role in the second season of Hulu’s WokeHis other recent credits include guest starring on 9-1-1: Lone Star, recurring on YouTube Red’s Swipe Right, Freeform’s Mystery Girls and the Melissa McCarthy/Ben Falcone pilot Amy’s Brother.

Good Trouble airs Thursdays at 10:00 pm on Freeform and next day on Hulu.

Aaron Dominguez to Star in Amazon Studio’s “Sitting in Bars with Cake”

The 28-year-old Latino actor will star in Amazon Studios’ rom-com Sitting in Bars with Cake.

Aaron DominguezDominguez is among a roster of new cast additions that includes Bette Midler, Maia Mitchell, Ron Livingston, Rish Shah and Odessa A’zion.

Rounding out the group, led by previously announced star and EP Yara Shahidi, are Martha Kelly, Adina Porter, Navid Negahban, Simone Recasner, Will Ropp and Charlie Morgan Patton.

Details regarding the characters they will portray are still under wraps.

Sitting in Bars with Cake begins production next month in Los Angeles.

Based on a true story, Sitting in Bars with Cake follows a quiet young woman who is unlucky in love and discovers an unlikely guy magnet when she bakes a cake for her best friend’s birthday and brings it to a bar, only to be swarmed by men. She believes it’s a fluke, but her friend convinces her to commit to a year of baking cakes and bringing them to bars, with the goal of finding true love. The shy young woman’s life subsequently opens up in ways she couldn’t have imagined.

Trish Sie is directing the film from Audrey Shulman’s script adapted from her blog and book of the same name.

Dominguez’s previous credits include Only Murders in the Building, Shaft and Words on Bathroom Walls.

Priscilla Quintana Upped to Series Regular for Season Four of Freeform’s “Good Trouble”

There’s more (good) trouble in Priscilla Quintana’s future…

The 29-year-old half-Mexican American actress has been promoted to series regular for the fourth season of Freeform’s Good Trouble.

Quintana, who portrays Isabella, was a recurring cast member in the second and third seasons.

Freeform will premiere the first half of season four beginning on Wednesday, March 9 at 10:00 pm, and the next day on Hulu.

Freeform has renewed Good Touble, starring the 26-year-old Colombian and Mexican American actress/singer, for a fourth season.

The announcement arrived on the heels of the 90-minute Season 3 finale airing on the East Coast on Wednesday.

The network released a new poster celebrating the news featuring stars Maia Mitchell, Ramirez, Sherry Cola, Tommy Martinez, Zuri Adele, Emma Hunton, Josh Pence and Beau Mirchoff.

Good Trouble

Good Trouble, a spinoff of The Fosters, follows the residents of Downtown Los Angeles’ The Coterie as they juggle career, love, and friendship and learn that standing up for what you believe in requires making a little noise and getting into trouble. The season 3 finale finds Callie (Maia Mitchell) questioning the career choices she’s made.

The series is enjoying its most-watched season ever on Hulu and currently ranks as one of the year’s Top 10 Primetime cable drama series among Women 18-34. All three seasons are currently available to stream via Hulu.

The current season picked up with Callie and Mariana’s relationship on the rocks after Callie has decided to move in with Jamie and leave the “Coterie Biatches” behind.

Quintana will play Isabella, a sexy, charming, outgoing aspiring actress/model who seems very confident but is really desperate to be liked. With her friendly personality and good looks, she is sure to shake things up at The Coterie.

Freeform has picked up its critically praised series Good Trouble, starring the 23-year-old Latina actress, for a second season.

The pickup comes amid the show’s solid ratings. Last week’s episode “Playing The Game,” marked Freeform’s top drama telecast since June 2018 among women 18-34 and females 12-34 and ranked as cable’s No. 1 scripted series among females 12-34.

Good Trouble follows Callie (Maia Mitchell) and Mariana (Ramirez) as they embark on the next phase of their young adult lives in Los Angeles, as Mariana tackles the male-dominated world of tech and Callie faces the harsh realities of the federal legal system clerking for a federal judge. After moving to The Coterie in Downtown Los Angeles, Callie and Mariana realize that living on their own is not all that it’s cracked up to be. Faced with new neighbors, new challenges and, of course, new romances, the sisters must depend on one another to navigate the City of Angels.

Santos Lands Recurring Role on ABC Family’s “The Fosters”

The Latina newcomer has joined the cast of ABC Family‘s The Fosters as a recurring player.

From executive producer Jennifer Lopez, the family drama follows two moms and their multi-ethnic family.

The Fosters is a big break for Santos, who will recur in the key role of Lexi, the best friend to fraternal twin Mariana Foster (Cierra Ramirez).

Production began on Friday in Burbank, with pilot director Tim Busfield helming.

Teri Polo, Sherri Saum, Jake T. Austin, Hayden Byerly, David Lambert, Maia Mitchell and Danny Nucci star in The Fosters.

Benny Medina, Joanna Johnson, Blaine Goldsmith Thomas, Elaine Goldsmith Thomas and Greg Gugliotta serve as executive producers along with Lopez on the Nuyorican Productions/Prodco series.

The Fosters will debut at 9:00 pm on June 3 on ABC Family.

The network has greenlighted the 43-year-old Puerto Rican multi-hyphenate’s The Fosters to series.

Executive produced by la Lopez, the scripted drama is a one-hour drama that revolves around a multi-ethnic family mix of foster and biological kids being raised by two moms Stef (Teri Polo) and Lena (Sherri Saum). Wizards of Waverly Place‘s  Jake T. Austin, Hayden Byerly, David Lambert, Maia Mitchell, Danny Nucci and Girl in Progress star Cierra Ramirez co-star. It was co-created by Bradley Bredeweg and Peter Paige.

The Fosters

The Fosters will begin production this spring for a summer launch. The series order for The Fosters is in line with the network’s typical pickups, usually in the range of eight to 12 episodes.

The Fosters joins ABC Family’s growing scripted slate of popular original programming that includes Pretty Little Liars, Switched at Birth, Baby Daddy and the outgoing The Secret Life of the American Teenager.
