Muniz to Star in “Christopher Hope and the Secret of Napoleon”

Frankie Muniz has found his next treasure…

The 30-year-old half-Puerto Rican actor, best known as the star of Fox’s Malcolm in the Middle, will star opposite Ashley Rickards in Christopher Hope and the Secret of Napoleon, a Paris-set mystery adventure thriller along the lines of National Treasure.

French newcomer Thomas Lemoine, who came up with the idea for the film and co-wrote the script with Christiane Lemoine-Vultaggio, also stars in the $10 million production.

Lemoine will play Christopher Hope, a student working toward his master’s degree in history who is determined to uncover the secret behind the legendary lost treasure of Napoleon, supposedly hidden by Freemasons somewhere in Paris.

Lemoine also will co-direct the pic with cinematographer Peter Lyons Collister, who has lensed features such as Alvin and the Chipmunks and The Amityville Horror.

Muniz to Make a Cameo Appearance on “Don’t Trust the B—-“

Frankie Muniz is about to meet the B—- in Apartment 23

The 26-year-old half-Puerto Rican actor has signed on to appear on the second-season premiere of ABC‘s Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23, which stars James Van Der Beek as a heightened version of himself.

Muniz, best known for starring on Fox’s family comedy Malcolm in the Middle, will play himself In the episode, in which TV JVDB (as producers call the onscreen version of James Van Der Beek on the show) will attempt to stage a Dawson’s Creek reunion, enlisting the help of former co-star Busy Philipps — who played Audrey on the former WB coming-of-age drama.

In addition to Muniz, the episode will star Mark-Paul Gosselaar—aka Saved by the Bell‘s Zack Morris—will make a cameo appearance as himself in the episode, which will reunite child stars who fronted their own series.

Apartment 23 returns in its new time slot on Tuesday, October 23 at 9:30 pm ET.

Frankie Muniz Engaged!

Former “Malcom in the Middle” star Frankie Muniz is all grown up… And, he’ll be walking down the aisle in the near future.

The 25-year-old half-Puerto Rican actor, who was once called one of Hollywood’s most bankable teens, popped the question to his longtime girlfriend Elycia Marie Turnbow. Her response: Yes!

“After 4 years together, I’m so happy to be ENGAGED to the love of my life @ElyciaMarie!!!” the actor-turned-racecar-driver  announced on his Twitter account on Saturday.

“It’s official.. I’m engaged!” Turnbow, a publicist, also Tweeted the same day.

No word on whether the pair has set a wedding date yet.
