Ready to get fit with Mariah Carey?

Apple Fitness+ has added the music of the 52-year-old half-Venezuelan Grammy-winning singer to its newly added workouts.

Mariah CareyIn honor of Women’s History Month, Carey, Miley Cyrus and Shania Twain will be highlighted as part of the program’s Artist Spotlight series, which dedicates an entire set of workouts to a single artist and their discography.

Starting Monday, March 6, Fitness+ users can pedal to the beat of the “Flowers” singer’s music in a cycling workout, return to heart center when it’s a wrap on the Carey-inspired yoga workout and feel like a powerful woman post-strength workout featuring Twain’s tunes.

New workouts will roll out every Monday throughout the month of March.

The Lambily will need to stretch as far and wide as Mimi’s vocal range — which spans across five octaves and goes all the way up to those whistle tones we all try reaching when belting out her 1991 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 smash “Emotions” — ahead of her cycling, dance, HIIT and yoga workouts.

“You’ve got to make working out fun, do what you love, so it feels like burning energy instead of a job! I hear lots of people like listening to my music in the gym and it makes me so happy – it means it’s energetic and inspirational,” Twain said in a press statement. “That’s why I’m so excited for this Artist Spotlight series on Fitness+. So Giddy Up! And do what makes you happy!”

Other musicians who’ve had sets of Apple Fitness+ workouts dedicated to them include Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, BTS, Billie Eilish, Jennifer Lopez, Pharrell Williams, Ed Sheeran, The Weeknd, ABBA, Prince, Shakira, The Beatles, Nicki Minaj and many more.

According to the Apple Fitness+ website, anyone who purchases a new iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad or Apple TV (and hasn’t previously subscribed to Apple Fitness+) will have free access to Apple Fitness+ for three months before paying $9.99 monthly, or $79.99 annually. New subscribers who already have the aforementioned Apple products can get free access to Apple Fitness+ for one month. Apple Fitness+ can be shared with up to five family members.

Mariah Carey Releases EP Celebrating Her 2009 Single “It’s a Wrap”

It’s a wrap for Mariah Carey

The 53-year-old half-Venezuelan American Grammy-winning singer has released a new EP celebrating her 2009 deep cut “It’s a Wrap.”

Mariah CareyIT’S A WRAP!!” Carey shared on Instagram announcing the release, “by popular lamb demand, EP out now!”

The four-track project contains the original album cut from 2009’s Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel and the Mary J. Blige-assisted remix originally included as a bonus track on 2014’s Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse, as well as a TikTok-friendly sped-up version and a new three-minute edit of the song.

The EP’s arrival comes on the heels of Mimi turning the fan favorite into a viral hit thanks to the “It’s a Wrap” TikTok challenge she launched after the start of the new year.

In addition to giving Carey a dose of post-holiday glee as she watched thousands of Lambs lip-synch to the song, the challenge also gave “It’s a Wrap” a massive streaming bump, earning more than one million weekly streams as of the start of February.

Prior to the kiss-off’s unexpected revival, Carey wrapped up her absolute domination of yet another holiday season with “All I Want for Christmas Is You” returning to the summit of the Billboard Hot 100 for four consecutive weeks from the middle of December through the beginning of January.

The chart achievement marked the modern holiday classic’s fourth year topping the chart since it first became Carey’s nineteenth career No. 1 in 2019.

Mariah Carey Releases Ms. Lauryn Hill Collaboration “Save the Day”

It’s the first release from Carey’s double-disc archival deep dive The Rarities (out October 2), which will be released shortly after the launch of her memoir The Meaning of Mariah Carey (out September 29).

With heartfelt, affecting vocals delivering a timely message (“We’re in this together”; “it’s curious, the fear still holding us down”), a few classic Mimi high notes and a sick beat drop courtesy Jermaine Dupri that accompanies the entrance of Hill’s voice (sampled from the FugeesGrammy-winning “Killing Me Softly With His Song“), “Save the Day” is everything Carey’s fans love.

On a Zoom listening party with fans, journalists and friends just hours ahead of the song’s release, Carey said she’s always been a fan of Roberta Flack‘s original recording of the song and that the Fugees’ version was her “go-to record” back in the ’90s while on tour.

“I love Lauryn, I think she’s an incredible artist,” Carey said. “I was happy that Lauryn wanted to do this moment with me…. I only wanted to do it with her approval and excitement.”

Special “Mariah Carey Experience” Exhibit Launched in New York City

They’re celebrating Mariah Carey in a big way in the Big Apple

Located inside Sony Studios, the extended musical journey on full display for public consumption features mini exhibits meant to bring Carey’s career to life.

Along with a display of dresses Carey has worn during her career, the special exhibit also includes a listening wall, where you can hear all 18 of Carey’s Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles with personal headphones, including her debut single “Vision of Love,” tracks from 1997’s Butterfly (“Honey” and “My All“), and the hits from 2005’s The Emancipation of Mimi (“We Belong Together” and “Don’t Forget About Us“).

Some of the most Instagrammable opportunities in the Mariah Carey Experience are backdrops that mimic the vibe of Caution, the butterfly-swarmed cover from Butterfly and even a Christmas-themed photo booth honoring Carey’s holiday classic “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” Additionally, there’s a bed and neon rainbow ripped from the iconic David LaChapelle photoshoot for Rainbow that serves as a fun way to salute her hit album.

Mariah Carey Experience

It was 28 years ago when Carey rose to acclaim with her self-titled debut album and endeared herself to a generation of fans who loved her brash attitude, sugary-sweet pop hooks and all-around diva mentality, a label she by and large embraced.

Throughout the years, Carey has maintained a special perch reserved for her and the undeniable uniqueness of her career, despite some public missteps.

It’s a continuing relevance that only a select few female pop singers have been able to achieve. Carey has maintained her brand despite a sea of mimickers, a cutthroat industry and fickle fans, many of whom have grown up and out of theMimimachine.

The Mariah Carey Experience at New York’s Sony Square (25 Madison Ave.) is open until December 4.
