The Latina actress and 24: Legacy alumna has landeda recurring role opposite Morris Chestnutand Jennifer Carpenterin NBC’s The Enemy Within.

From Gotham executive producer Ken Woodruff, Matt Corman, Chris Ordand Universal Television, the project was written and executive produced by Woodruff and with a pilot directed by Mark Pellington.

The Enemy Within is a fast-paced thriller set in the world of counterintelligence.

Peña will play Anna Cruz, an ambitiousCIAanalyst enlisted by FBISpecial Agent, Will Keaton (Chestnut) to assist in the hunt for a former Russian SVR agent turned rogue operative who’s responsible for the deaths of her fellow CIA officers. Cruz’s arrival tests the limits of the unprecedented partnership between Keaton and former CIA Deputy Director turned traitor, Erica Shepherd (Carpenter).

Peña was a series regular on Fox’s 24: Legacy opposite Corey Hawkinsand Miranda Otto and appeared recently in Steven Spielberg’s Oscar-nominated film The Post.

The Enemy Within is set for a midseason debut on NBC.

Christina Aguilera to Star in the Futuristic Love Story “Zoe”

Christina Aguilera is headed back to the big screen…

The 36-year-old half-Ecuadorian American singer has joined the cast of Drake Doremus’ Zoe.

Written by The Beauty Inside’s Rich Greenberg, the futuristic love story follows two colleagues at a revolutionary research lab who design technology to improve and perfect romantic relationships. As their work progresses, their discoveries become more profound than they could ever have imagined.

Aguilera, who made her big screen debut opposite Cher in 2010’s insta-cult classic Burlesque, will star opposite Theo JamesRashida Jones, Miranda Otto, Ewan McGregor and Lea Seydoux in the film, which starts production in Montreal next Monday.

Zoe is being financed by Stuart Ford’s IM Global with Scott Free’s Michael Pruss and Kevin Walsh producing with Doremus and Robert George.

Before breaking onto the music scene with “Genie in the Bottle,” Aguilera—a five-time Grammy winner and recurring The Voice coach—appeared on the television series Star Search and The Mickey Mouse Club.

The Latina actress has been cast as a series regular opposite Miranda Otto and Corey Hawkins in Fox’s pilot 24: Legacy, a reboot of the network’s iconic 24 franchise with brand new characters and cast.

Written by 24 veterans Manny Coto and Evan Katz and directed by Stephen Hopkins, who helmed the original 24 pilot, 24: Legacy chronicles military hero Eric Carter’s (Hawkins) return to the U.S. and the trouble that follows him back – compelling him to ask CTU for help in saving his life, and stopping what potentially could be one of the largest-scale terror attacks on American soil.

Bucatinsky will play Andy, a communication analyst at CTU who has enjoyed Rebecca’s (Otto) trust and is unhappily paired with bright, young, self-taught computer analyst Gia (Pena).

She joins previously announced cast members Teddy Sears, Anna Diop and Jimmy Smits.

Peña, a Hollywood newcomer, previously appeared on CBSBlue Bloods.

Ortiz Cast in Fox’s Dramedy Pilot “Rake”

Silver Linings Playbook’s John Ortiz could be appearing on the small screen in the near future…

The 43-year-old Puerto Rican actor has been cast opposite Greg Kinnear in Fox’s dramedy pilot Rake, which is based on an Australian series of the same name.

In the project, Kinnear will portray a brilliant but self-destructive criminal defense lawyer named Keegan Joye.

Ortiz, who appeared in HBO‘s horse racing drama Luck, will play Ben, a friend of Keegan’s from law school and the yin to his yang. He’s conservative and not flashy, solid, reliable and a decent family man. Not one to seek out the spotlight, Ortiz’s character recognizes that Keegan is the performer of the two and together they make a solid team — both in and out of court.

Ortiz, whose credits also Fast & Furious, joins a cast that includes Miranda Otto as Keegan’s ex-wife, Necar Zadegan as one of his best friends and Bojana Novakovic as Mikki, the love interest for Kinnear’s character.
