Paladin Pictures Acquires the Psychological Thriller “After,” Starring Gonzalez

Paladin Pictures has acquired the distribution rights to the psychological thriller After, which stars the half-Mexican American actress/singer and Broadway star.

From first-time director Pieter Gaspersz, the film tells the tale of a middle class family in upstate New York centered around cheerful but fragile matriarch Nora, whose family stone-cutting business is slowly failing and whose delicate balance is threatened by a secret that could change everyone’s lives forever.

Gonzalez stars as Molly Valentino in the film, which was written by Sabrina Gennarino.

After will be released on August 8 in partnership with Accretion Films.

The film also co-stars John Doman, Pablo Schreiber, Adam Scarimbolo, Diane Neal, Darrin Dewitt Henson, Bruno Gunn and Gennarino.

Gonzalez, who starred in the Broadway musical Wicked, has also appeared in Across the Universe (directed by Julie Taymor), In God’s Hands, The Good Wife, Third Watch and  Guiding Light.

Paladin Pictures to Release Garces’ Thriller “The Maid’s Room”

Paula Garcés’ latest film is maid to order…

Paladin Pictures has acquired the rights to The Maid’s Room, a psychological thriller starring the 39-year-old Colombian actress.

Directed by Michael Walker, the film stars Garcés as a maid caring for a spoiled family who gains some extra leverage when the son of her employers comes home with a bloodied car after a hit and run accident.

Paladin Picture will release the film theatrically and through digital platforms this spring.

The Maid’s Room, filmed in The Hamptons, was screened at the Hamptons International Film Festival.

Garcés most recently appeared as the ill-fated Flora on Lifetime’s Devious Maids. She also portrays Lea Marquez on All My Children.

Garcés is best known for her appearances in Clockstoppers and The Harold and Kumar franchise.
