Written/executive produced by Don Todd, the project has received a script commitment with penalty. 20th Century Fox Television is the studio.

The project is described as a faithful adaptation of Spain’s hit comedy-drama about family, love, culture and class. It centers on a world-famous chef who comes to a small beach town to work his magic on his father’s failing cantina and is surprised to find the town working its own magic on him.

Created by Velázquez, El Chiringuito De Pepe, got off to a big ratings start on Telecinco last year, premiering to more than 4.6 million viewers or 24.6% to rank as the most-watched Spanish scripted series debut on the network in nine years.

The second season of the dramedy, starring Santi Millán and Jesus Bonilla, launches in December.
