Danny Trejo to Host & Narrate New Nonfiction Series for The History Channel

Danny Trejo is offering some History lessons…

The 79-year-old Mexican American actor and Machete star will host and narrate the new History Channel series The UnXplored with Danny Trejo (working title).

Danny TrejoTrejo’s eight-part series will explore “some of the greatest underground mysteries and the fascinating stories surrounding buried artifacts and lost civilizations,” per the History Channel press release.

“I’ve always been drawn to projects that tap into my own curiosity and sense of adventure,” says Trejo. “I can’t wait to take viewers on this wild ride to mystified, and often uncharted, territories as I seek answers to the mysteries that live right underneath us.”

The series seeks to unearth “what the human eye cannot easily detect, as objects, structures and creatures concealed under earth, ice and water are suddenly, and sometimes accidentally, revealed,” History says.

“From ancient animals uncovered as permafrost melts to excavations that make international headlines, each episode explains the significance of these discoveries and offers surprising information.”

The UnXplored with Danny Trejo (w.t.) marks the network’s third installment in its highly successful strange and unusual programing slate.
