Lenny Tavarez Signs Record Deal with Warner Music Latina

Lenny Tavarez has a new deal…

The 32-year-old Argentine & Puerto Rican singer, whose real name is Julio Manuel González Tavárez, has signed an exclusive record deal with Warner Music Latina

Lenny Tavarez

The signing comes on the heels of his just-released collaborative single with Justin Quiles, “La Pared 360. ”

“We are truly excited to have Lenny as part of our family, he represents today’s powerful musical movement,” Gabriela Martinez, SVP Marketing Warner Music Latin America/General Manager Warner Music Latina said in a statement. “We have a great sense of responsibility and we are committed to taking his unique style and sound to the level he deserves.”

On his new venture, Tavarez added: “I feel like I signed a marriage, one which I was waiting for. I have a responsibility with my music and with those who will listen to it. A responsibility that has really led me to make the best of me, to explore things and capabilities that I didn’t know I had. But above all, I feel blessed to be able to live this dream. To sign with a multinational label that I feel wants to give everything for me, who trusts my music, who trusts my project, trusts the team I brought along with and they trust my experience. I feel a bit nervous because it is not the same to release a song as to prepare an entire album and make a worldwide release, but that is the feeling that I like, I like the challenge and I know that we have the best album of the year.”

Tavarez isn’t new to the Latin music game. He kicked off his musical career in the early 2000s as part of the reggaeton duo Dyland & Lenny, before embarking on a solo career in 2013. He’s ultimately helping push the Latin R&B movement to the forefront. The color of his sound is a sensual fusion between Latin pop, reggaeton and R&B, never shying away from raw lyrics about love and sex, as heard on his 2018 EP, Pop Porn
