Pedro Pascal may soon be livin’ in a materialists world…

The 48-year-old Chilean actor is circling The Materialists, the next project from Oscar-nominated filmmaker Celine Song.

In addition to Pascal, the rom-com is gaining interest among other A-list talents Dakota Johnson and Chris Evans.

Past Lives producers Christine Vachon and Pam Koffler of Killer Films and 2AM’s David Hinojosa are behind the project, which Song also scripts. The team is aiming to start as early as this spring.

Plot details have been kept under wraps, but the film reportedly deals with a professional matchmaker who gets involved with a wealthy man but still harbors feelings for the broke actor-waiter she left behind.

Pascal rose to prominence for portraying Oberyn Martell in the fourth season of the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones and Javier Peña in the Netflix crime series Narcos.

In 2023, he played Joel Miller in the HBO drama series The Last of Us, for which he received nominations for a Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe.
