Pitbull & Ke$ha’s “Timber” Reaches No. 1 on Billboard Dance Chart

Pitbull and Ke$ha haven’t been able to dethrone Eminem and Rihanna on the Billboard Hot 100 chart… But they still have plenty of reason to dance.

The 32-year-old Cuban American singer and Ke$ha’s high octane collaboration “Timber” has reached the No. 1 spot on this week’s Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Songs chart, which will be released on Thursday.

The track, which duo wrote and recorded during their North American tour last May and June, was released on October 7, 2013 as the lead single from Pitbull’s second EP, Meltdown.

“Timber” has topped the charts in 10 countries including Sweden, Canada, Norway, Scotland, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Austria and Germany and has peaked at No. 1 on the Hot 100. And the catchy song’s official music video, complete with donkeys, roosters and sexy line dancers, has registered more than 54.5 million views on VEVO.

It’s Pitbull’s latest dance-chart-topper…

His other dance hits include his three collaborations with Jennifer Lopez, “On The Floor,” “Dance Again” and “Live It Up.” His other No. 1 dance songs include “International Love” with Chris Brown and the remix to Enrique Iglesias’ “I Like How It Feels.”

Meanwhile, Pitbull’s collaboration with Christina Aguilera “Feel This Moment” peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Songs chart.
