Netflix Renews Di Pace’s “Fuller House” for Third Season

Netflix has renewed spinoff series Fuller House, starring the 37-year-old Argentine actor, singer and director, for a third season, according to the show’s official social media.

In addition to Di Pace, who was upped to series regular in Season 2, the series also stars Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Andrea Barber, Michael Campion, Elias Harger, Soni Nicole Bringas, Dashiell and Fox Messitt, Scott Weinger, John Brotherton, and Ashley Liao.

The 13-episode second season premiered on Netflix on December 9, 2016.

Netflix has announced that Season 2 of its original series Fuller House, starring the 37-year-old Argentine actor, will launch globally on December 9.

The date comes after the streaming service renewed the spinoff of the ABC sitcom after it launched in March.

Di Pace was upped to series regular for Season 2 after appearing as a guest star in the first season.

The series continues the adventures that began in 1987 on Full House continue, with veterinarian D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Candace Cameron-Bure) recently widowed and living in San Francisco. D.J.’s younger sister/aspiring musician Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin) and D.J.’s lifelong best friend/fellow single mother Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber), along with Kimmy’s feisty teenage daughter Ramona, all move in to help take care of D.J.’s three boys.

The 36-year-old Argentine actor, who had a recurring role on the first season of Fuller House, Netflix’s reboot of the classic ABC sitcom, has been promoted to series regular for the upcoming second season.

Di Pace plays Fernando, the “inappropriately passionate” ex-husband of Kimmy Gibler (Andrea Barber). Quite the playboy, Fernando is relentless in his attempts to reunite with his ex-wife, and he maintains a close relationship with their daughter Ramona (Soni Bringas).

Di Pace’s previous credits include appearances on Dallas and NBC’s A.D.: The Bible Continues, where he portrayed Jesus Christ.

Netflix has renewed Fuller House, starring the Latina actress, for a second season. The news was revealed on the show’s Twitter account.

The renewal comes just days after the premiere of Netflix’s reboot of the classic ABC sitcom.

The 13-episode series continues the family adventures that began on the original show back in 1987, with veterinarian D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Candace Cameron Bure) recently widowed and living in San Francisco. Tanner-Fuller is raising her three sons with the help of her younger sister Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin) and childhood pal Kimmy Gibler (Andrea Barber). Original series stars John Stamos (Jesse Katsopolis), Bob Saget (Danny Tanner), Dave Coulier (Joey Gladstone), Lori Loughlin (Becky Katsopolis) and Scott Weinger (Steve Hale) make guest appearances.

Bringas portrays Ramona Gibbler, the daughter of Kimmy Gibbler. Her father Fernando is portrayed by Juan Pablo Di Pace.

Bringas’ credits include appearances on Jane the Virgin and Instant Mom.

The 36-year-old Argentine actor, singer and director has booked a recurring role on Netflix’s Fuller House, the sequel to the popular television sitcom Full House.

The reboot will follow D.J. Tanner (Candace Cameron-Bure), a recent widow who is raising her children with the help of sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and best friend and fellow mother Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber).

Di Pace, who starred as Jesus Christ in NBC‘s miniseries A.D. The Bible Continues, will play Fernando, Kimmy’s (Barber) passionate ex-husband.

John Stamos, the erstwhile Uncle Jesse, is producing Fuller House, which will star Full House regulars Cameron-Bure, Lori Loughlin, Sweetin and Barber, with Stamos and Dave Coulier appearing in guest spots.

Di Pace previously appeared on another series reboot, TNT’s Dallas.

His other credits include appearances on the NBC series Camp and the film adaptation of the Broadway musical Mamma Mia!

Fuller House is scheduled to premiere on Netflix in 2016.
