After ending his iconic show Sábado Gigante, Don Francisco is returning to Spanish television with Don Francisco Te Invita, which will air its debut episode on Sunday night on Telemundo.

To kick off the new talk show, Don Francisco, real name Mario Kreutzberger, will have musical guests including Hernández, Venezuelan chart-topping duo Chino Y Nacho and Juan Gabriel‘s longtime producer and orchestra director Eduardo Magallanes.

According to a statement from the network, Magallanes will “unveil details of the man also known as ‘El Divo de Juárez,’ and talk about the first time the music legend auditioned in 1969, signed his first recording contract, and collaborated in almost every production he created since 1971 until most recently before he passed away.”

Aside from their musical performances, the musicians will also join Don Francisco for a sit-down interview in the hour-long show where the legendary host will be accompanied by Mexican journalist Jessica Carrillo and the all-female house band, Sexta Clave, directed by singer Leslie Cartaya.

The first Don Francisco Te Invita will air every Sunday at 10:00 pm ET on Telemundo.

The 33-year-old Venezuelan singer, of duo Chino Y Nacho, has released a heartfelt song dedicated to his native country.

In the midst of turbulent times in Venezuela, Nacho, whose real name is Ignacio Mendoza, hopes the single will become an anthem of hope and motivation.

Nacho released “Valiente” to coincide with the Sept 1. march in Venezuela, billed as “the taking of Caracas,” where thousands of protesters have taken the streets to demand the ousting of President Nicolás Maduro.

“I can almost break the chains, I can almost scream that freedom has arrived / My feet will be back on the road and I will walk for a better future, because waiting exasperates me,” sings Nacho accompanied by his band Los Fantásticos. “How I wish to go back in time, return to the time of magic and fantasy, the luck I had when I was younger.”

The singer and songwriter, whose been very vocal on the Venezuela economic crisis, took to social media to apologize for not being able to march along with his countrymen due to a family emergency.

“Everything was ready for me to travel,” he said in the post showing his airplane ticket. “I wish that the march and journey is a successful and peaceful one. Please don’t take weapons and control yourselves … Let’s take back our country. God bless you. I love you!”

Prince Royce Ties Romeo Santos for Most Premio Lo Nuestro Nods

Romeo Santos and Prince Royce will battle it out for top honors at Univision’s Premio Lo Nuestro during the show’s 25th anniversary on February 21, 2013.

The 31-year-old Dominican/Puerto Rican singer, the former front man for Aventura, and the 23-year-old Dominican singer tied for most nods, at seven each. Santos and Prince Royce will battle it ou for Tropical Album of the Year, Tropical Male Artist of the Year, and Tropical Song of the Year.

Reggaeton superstar Don Omar, meantime, received six nods, including Artist of the Year, Collaboration of the Year for his mega duet with Natti Natasha, “Dutty Love,” and Album of the Year for his Don Omar Presents Meet The Orphans 2: New Generation.

Barcelona-raised urban artist Juan Magan is up for Best New Artist, along with four other awards. He faces stiff competition from 3Ball MTY, who cleaned up at this year’s Billboard’s Mexican Music Awards.

Mexican rock group Maná earned six nominations, and will compete against with Don Omar, Jenni Rivera, La Arrolladora Banda el Limon de Rene Camacho and Santos in the Artist of the Year category.

Sibling duo Jesse & Joy, the big winners at the Latin Grammys, are up for five awards, including Song of the Year and Video of the Year for “¡Corre!” as well as Album of the Year for ¿Con Quién Se Queda el Perro?.

Juanes was recognized for his critically acclaimed MTV Unplugged album with four nods, tied with Beto Cuevas and Victor Manuelle.

Daddy Yankee, Alejandro Sanz, Paulina Rubio, Ricardo Arjona, Chino y Nacho, Gerardo Ortiz, La Original Banda El Limón, La Banda El Recodo and Wisin y Yandel each earned three nods.
