Here’s a first look at Helena Bonham-Carter’s one life…

See-Saw Films has released first look images of James HawesOne Life, starring the 57-year-old part-Spanish English actress, which will receive its world premiere as a Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) special presentation in September.

Helena Bonham-Carter, One LifeWritten by Lucinda Coxon and Nick Drake, the film is based on the book, If it’s not impossible… The life of Sir Nicholas Winton by Barbara Winton.

It tells the true story of Sir Nicholas ‘Nicky’ Winton, a young London banker who, on the eve of World War II, saved 669 children from the Nazis – more than the number of children who survived the Holocaust in Czechoslovakia.

Johnny Flynn, One Life

With war fast approaching, Winton visited a recently annexed Prague and witnessed first-hand Jewish refugee families with little to no shelter and food. He immediately realized it was a race against time to see how many children he and his friends could rescue before time ran out.

Fifty years later, in 1988, Winton is haunted by the fate of the children he wasn’t able to bring to safety in England. It’s not until a live television show That’s Life surprises him with the surviving children – now adults – seated all around him that he can finally make peace with the loss he had carried for five decades.

The film is a Warner Bros. Pictures, BBC Film and MBK Productions presentation in association with Cross City Films, Filmnation Entertainment and Lipsync and is a See-Saw Films Production.

Adrian Martinez to Appear in Rami Malek’s New Thriller “Amateur”

Adrian Martinez is an amateur

The 51-year-old Latino actor has landed a recurring role opposite Rami Malek in Amateur, a new thriller James Hawes is directing for 20th Century Studios.

Adrian MartinezThe film, for which Gary Spinelli penned the most recent draft, tells the story of Charles Heller (Malek), a CIA cryptographer who, after his wife is tragically killed in a London terrorist attack, demands his bosses go after them. When it becomes clear they won’t act due to conflicting internal priorities, he blackmails the agency into training him and letting him go after them himself.

Martinez is set for the role of Carlos, a CIA tech and Heller’s closest friend.

Hutch Parker and Dan Wilson are producing the film, with Malek exec producing.

Martinez can currently be seen playing Chris, the traffic cop buddy of Awkwafina’s Rebecca, in Chris McKay’s horror comedy Renfield for Universal, which hit theaters on April 14th.

The always-busy character actor is best known for roles in such films as Focus opposite Will Smith and Margot RobbieThe Secret Life of Walter Mitty opposite Ben StillerCasa de mi Padre opposite Will Ferrell; I Feel Pretty opposite Amy Schumer; and Disney+’s live-action reimagining of Lady and the Tramp.

Martinez was a series regular on ABC’s Stumptown and boasts additional television credits including Paramount+’s No Activity and NBC’s The Blacklist: Redemption.

Also on the actor’s slate of upcoming projects is the Netflix comedy Unfrosted marking the feature directorial debut of Jerry Seinfeld.
