Darell Releases New Album “Everybody Go to the Discotek”

The 33-year-old Puerto Rican rapper and songwriter has released his new album Everybody Go to the Discotek, which is named after his signature phrase.

DarellThe album features 18 tracks crafted for a good time at the club while showcasing Darell’s musical versatility.

At the core of each track is his distinct, deep, raspy vocals, but while some songs are hard-hitting perreos (“Deshidratado,” “Ponte Bonita,” and “Me Dice Daddy,” to name a few), Darell is as experimental as ever.

Lollipop” is a sensual merengue-bachata fusion, “Rulay” is a tribute to Dominican dembowFunka” is a saucy Brazilian funk number and focus single “Wait Deh Man,” a reggae-infused collaboration with Nicky Jam, Wisin and Luar La L.

Other collaborators on Everybody Go to the Discotek include Ozuna, Myke Towers, Sech, Jory Boy, Maffio, Omar Courtz and Omar Montes.

Jory Boy Earns First Billboard Chart-Topper with “Detras De Ti”

The 30-year-old Puerto Rican urban artist has scored his first No. 1 on a Billboard songs chart as “Detras De Ti” rises 4-1 on the Tropical Songs chart in its ninth charting frame (up 36 percent in spins).

He concurrently debuts at No. 2 on the Latin Rhythm Albums chart with his EP, Otra Liga.

In October 2015, Jory Boy earned his first chart-topper when he debuted at No. 1 on the Latin Rhythm Albums chart with Matando La Liga.

Boston’s WAMG-AM championed the track with 63 spins, while fellow Massachusetts station, WORC, Springfield, followed the top weekly plays with 59. In all, 17 stations on the panel supported the track in the latest tracking week.

The latest single has amassed 1.7 million U.S. on-demand video and audio streams to date, with 129,000 logged in the most recent week. A remix with Ozuna has amassed nearly 4 million global views on YouTube.
