Mandy Moore has released the music video for her new single “In Real Life,” and she called on a bunch of her celebrity friends to help her tell the story, including the Latino actor.

Christian Valderrama The new clip, released Friday (Mar. 18), finds Moore and her husband Taylor Goldsmith playing and taking care of their son Gus to the tune of the uplifting track, in which Moore sings, “Coming out of the dark / With you in my arms / We see whatever we needed to see.”

In addition to Valderrama, others stars appearing in their own “real life,” include Moore’s This Is Us co-stars, Matthew Koma and Hilary Duff, Wilmer Valderrama, Amanda Kloots and Karamo Brown, among others.

“I started writing this song while I was still pregnant with my son Gus, but didn’t end up finishing it until after he arrived. In a way it speaks to every cliché about becoming a parent: All the lights get turned on, everything crystallizes in a way that you never could have imagined,” Moore said in a press statement of the song, per Rolling Stone. “Before Gus was born, my life was completely about me, and not necessarily even in a selfish sense — you just put one foot in front of the other and make your way through the world, and hopefully try to be the best version of yourself. But then this person enters the equation, and all that gets turned on its head.”

Moore is set to release her album, In Real Life, on May 13.

Netflix Releases Official Trailer for Karamo Brown’s Texas-Based Season 6 of “Queer Eye”

Karamo Brown is headed to the Lone Star State

The 41-year-old half-Cuban American television host, reality television personality, author, actor and activist and his Queer Eye cast mates will head to Texas in Season 6, with Netflix releasing the show’s official trailer ahead of its December 31 premiere.

Karamo Brown

Hosts Antoni Porowski (Food & Wine), Bobby Berk (Interior Design), Jonathan Van Ness (Grooming), Brown (Culture), and Tan France (Fashion) will work their magic across the state helping to change the lives of deserving locals.

In one fell swoop, the guys will help a multitude of Navarro High School students by becoming part of its prom committee just one week before the festivities. Van Ness seems to not be worried about the challenge in the least.

“Are we going to slay this prom so hard? Are we going to look better than we’ve ever even  thought about looking?” he asks two students in the trailer who excitedly agree.

Queer Eye is executive produced by David Collins, Michael Williams, and Rob Eric for Scout Productions. Jennifer Lane serves as the showrunner and executive producer.

Eva Longoria Among Celebrities & Entertainment Figures Encouraging World Leaders to “End the COVID-19 Pandemic Now”

Eva Longoria is urging on world leaders to take action to end the ongoing coronavirus pandemic…

Tuesday morning, just before President Joe Biden addressed the United Nations for the first time, more than 80 celebrities and entertainment figures, including the 46-year-old Mexican American actress, producer and activist, issued an open letter to world leaders calling for them to end “the COVID-19 pandemic now.”

Eva Longoria

The letter, which mentioned the United Nations General Assembly Session specifically, was posted on the website of CARE, an organization dedicated to ending poverty worldwide.

It was signed by a raft of boldfaced names including Longoria, Debra MessingAlyssa Milano, Anne Hathaway, Malin Akerman, Debbie Allen, Jordana Brewster, Connie Britton, Ciara, Peter Dinklage, Richard Gere, Dolores Huerta, Joel McHale, Iman, Edward James Olmos, Laura Linney, Julianna Margulies, Joel McHale, Idina Menzel, Ana Ortiz, Adam Shankman, Michael Sheen, Adam Shulman and Sarah Silverman.

Specifically, the letter calls COVID-19 “a manmade pandemic of apathy.” It states that “Only 2% of people in low-income countries have received a single dose.” The signatories call on “global leaders to make 7 billion vaccine doses available before the end of 2021, and an additional 7 billion doses by mid-2022 to fully vaccinate 70% of the world by next summer.”

Those are lofty goals given the world’s most highly vaccinated countries, like the U.S., remain well under 70%.

It also asks leaders to “invest in last-mile delivery systems, public education, and frontline healthcare workers to get vaccines from tarmacs into arms.”

Here’s the full letter:

An open letter to world leaders on ending the COVID-19 pandemic now.

None of us are safe until all of us are safe.

We call on leaders gathering at the United Nations General Assembly Session to boldly act
together to end COVID-19 everywhere.

COVID-19 is now a manmade pandemic of apathy. Only 2% of people in low-income countries have received a single dose, leaving the world’s most vulnerable to face COVID with no
protection. This situation also lets new variants, like Delta, emerge and ravage the lives of
millions.

We are joining with CARE to call on global leaders to make 7 billion vaccine doses available before the end of 2021, and an additional 7 billion doses by mid-2022 to fully vaccinate 70%
of the world by next summer.

To get this done the world community must also invest in last-mile delivery systems, public education, and frontline healthcare workers to get vaccines from tarmacs into arms. Millions
of doses could go to waste because low-income countries don’t have the support they
need to get vaccines to vulnerable people.

We can save millions of lives — and trillions in further economic damage — by meeting this moment with the resources and political will needed to end COVID-19 for everyone,
everywhere. Because none of us are safe until all of us are safe.

Freeform to Premiere Karamo Brown’s TV Movie “The Thing About Harry” in February

Karamo Brown is hittin’ the road this Valentine’s Day

Freeform will premiere its road-trip rom-com The Thing About Harry, starring the 39-year-old part-Cuban American Queer Eye host and actor, will be a post-Valentine’s Day offering.

Karamo Brown

The television movie starring Brown, Jake Borelli, Niko Terho, Britt Baronand Peter Paigeis set to premiere at 8:00 pm on Saturday, February 15, on the Disney-owned cable outlet.

Borelli portrays Sam, a handsome, funny, neurotic, intelligent young gay man who combines a scathing wit with an overly idealistic worldview. Sam came out when he was still in high school, something that took a lot of courage in his small Missouri town, but was bullied constantly. Terho plays Harry, an emotionally uncomplicated, promiscuous player who has always left a string of broken hearts in his wake. Under the surface, Harry actually yearns for love, family and stability, but the thought of commitment still terrifies him.

Brown plays Paul, an exceedingly well put-together yet overbearing and pretentious gay man.

“It’s been an honor to partner with Freeform in making great television with LGBTQ+ characters as leads,” The Thing About Harry executive producers Paige, Greg Gugliotta and F.J. Denny in a statement. “True equality can only be achieved when you see yourself reflected in the movies, music and stories that paint our culture.

“As young gay men in the ’90s, whenever a rom-com opened, we would watch the leading lady fall in love and imagine what it would be like if the boy was saying all those things to another boy. We’ve always wanted to make a movie — an unabashedly romantic comedy — that queer boys wouldn’t have to translate. It’s rewarding to take the genre to a new, all-inclusive level.”
