Vergara Named One of the World’s Most Beautiful Women by People

In People magazine’s quest to name the 2012 World’s Most Beautiful Woman, the publication has named Sofia Vergara and Madeleine Stowe to the Top 10 list.

The 39-year-old Colombian actress—who recently shined in her first guest-hosting stint on NBC’s Saturday Night Live—discussed her bombshell status in her SNL monologue.

Sofia Vergara Receives Second Straight SAG Award Nomination

“I always heard that immigrants had a really hard life when they came to America,” joked Vergara. “But when I showed up here everyone was so nice. The men bought me drinks and offered me a place to sleep. This country welcomed me with open arms… and pulled-down pants.”

But Vergara isn’t apologetic about her looks. “I’m not ashamed. It has opened doors,” the InStyle cover girl admitted to the magazine in April. And now that she’s about turn 40 in July, the Modern Family actress is both flattered and amused she’s still considered a head-turner. “I am on these lists for ‘best ass’ or ‘most beautiful’ with women like Mila Kunis, who’s, like, 20 years old,” she says with a laugh. “I have a son that age!”

Madeleine Stowe

Madeleine Stowe, who was lured back to Hollywood after a 12-year absence with a choice role on ABC’s instahit Revenge cracked the Top 10 as well.

“It’s fun being noticed on the streets,” says Stowe, whose perfect mix of beauty and talent led to ’90s box-office success in The Last of the Mohicans and Unlawful Entry. As for aging in Hollywood, the 53-year-old half-Costa Rican actress takes a rational approach: “My forehead moves! Some things, you have to let go.”

Meanwhile, several Latinas were featured in People’s “Beautiful at Every Age” feature.

Eva Longoria, 37
The former beauty queen and national co-chair for Obama’s re-election campaign says it takes more than good looks to look your best. “People think health only has to do with your physical being, but for me, it’s so much more,” the Desperate Housewives star told Health magazine. “I have a great diet and exercise routine. And I try to have a healthy outlook.”

Eva Mendes

The Miami native—who will soon be starring as a neglectful mother inGirl in Progress—has no problem showing a little skin. Or even a lot of skin. As for being labeled a sex symbol, Mendes says, “I like it when it doesn’t limit my career. It’s a part of my life, but on a secondary plane.”

Jennifer Lopez

J.Lo Graces the Cover of Glamour’s “WOTY” Issue…

She’s been “On the Floor” most of this year… And, now Jennifer Lopez is on the cover of Glamour’s Women of the Year issue.

It’s the exclamation point to banner year for the 42-year-old international superstar where la Lopez was basically everywhere.

She started off the year filling one of the vacant judges’ seats on “American Idol.” Months later she released the hit single “On the Floor,” which reached the top five in most countries around the world, including reaching number one in 18 countries. She followed up the single’s success by releasing her seventh studio album, “Love?”

But the love for all things J.Lo didn’t stop there… This year, Lopez was named the most beautiful person in People magazine’s annual issue. She launched a successful clothing line at Kohl’s and served as a spokesperson for Gucci, L’Oreal, Venus and Fiat.

Despite her seven-year marriage to Marc Anthony coming to an end this summer, Lopez seems to remain in great spirits, especially now that’s she’s being honored as an “All-Star Woman” for her numerous achievements.

For her Glamour cover story, Lopez was interviewed by her “Monster-in-Law” co-star Jane Fonda, who asked her what she’d learned about love and relationships over the past year.

” I’ve finally learned the biggest lesson of all: You’ve got to love yourself first,” responded Lopez. “You’ve got to be okay on your own before you can be okay with someone else. You’ve got to value yourself and know that you’re worth everything. And until you value yourself enough and love yourself enough to know that, you can’t really have a healthy relationship.”

Glamour‘s Women of the Year issue, which celebrates Lopez and 10 other all-star ladies, hits newsstands November 1.

Iglesias to Guest Judge on “X Factor”

He’s a “Dirty, Dirty Dancer” and international pop star… And, now Enrique Iglesias is headed to “X Factor“…

The Spanish heartthrob will reportedly join Mariah Carey, Rihanna and Pharrell Williams as guest judges on FOX’s new reality singing competition, according to People magazine.

During tonight’s episode, the remaining 32 contestants will head to the homes of Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger and L.A. Reid to work with the judges. They’ll be joined by Iglesias and the crew of guest judges to help the hopeful vocalists before the next round of elimination.

“The acts were totally blown away meeting their mentors at these amazing homes – then it was even more nerve-racking performing for a guest judge,” a source told People. “Some of the girls especially were delighted when they saw Enrique and Pharrell. The acts who met Rihanna were totally speechless – who knows how they managed to sing!”

The 32 contestants are divided into four groups – girls, boys, groups and singers over 30. They’ll be cut down to 16 after visits to the judges’ homes, with only four from each category moving on to the live shows. The judges and their star guests will join forces to decide who stays and who goes home.

Don’t miss tonight’s episode to see how Iglesias performs as a guest judge.

“X Factor” airs Wednesdays on FOX at 8 pm ET.
