Karol G Reveals Doodle-Inspired Cover Art & Track List for New Album “Mañana Será Bonito”

Karol G is getting colorful…

The 31-year-old Colombian singer-songwriter has unveiled the colorful doodle-inspired cover and tracklist for her forthcoming album Mañana Será Bonito, which will be released on February 24.

The 17-song album, which kicks off with “Mientras Me Curo del Cora,” features collaborations with Quevedo, Carla Morrison, Sean Paul, Sech, Bad Gyal, Justin Quiles and Angel Dior.

It also includes previously released singles “Provenza,” “Cairo” with Ovy on the Drums, “Gatubela” featuring Maldy, and the Romeo Santos-assisted “X Si Volvemos.”

“This is the face of my album,” Karol wrote on social media. “I present it with all my love and pride. To be honest, I can’t believe I was able to contain myself and not share the release date sooner but I can finally share it with you. I am happy and counting down the days.”

Mañana Será Bonito will be her fourth studio album. It will follow her 2021 Grammy-nominated KG0516, which scored Karol her first No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums. The set earned the biggest week for a Latin album by a woman since Shakira‘s 2017 El Dorado.

Karol G nabbed the No. 1 spot on Billboard‘s 2022 year-end Top Latin Artists – Female chart for a fourth consecutive year. She was also No. 2 on the overall Top Latin Artists chart – the only female act in the top 10. Furthermore, Karol G’s $trip Love Tour became the highest grossing U.S. tour by Latin female act in history. It grossed $69.9 million and sold 410,000 tickets across 33 shows in North America (through the end of October), according to numbers reported to Billboard Boxscore.

Shakira’s Bizarrap-Collab “Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53” Hits No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay Chart

Shakira is on cloud nine with the success of her latest single…

The 45-year-old Colombian Grammy– and Latin Grammy-winning singer and songwriter’s collaboration with Bizarrap “Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53” has hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay on the chart dated February 4.

Their in-studio diss track has now topped nine U.S. Billboard charts, including Latin Digital Song Sales, Latin Pop Digital Song Sales, Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs, Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales, Hot Latin Songs, Latin Streaming Songs, Latin Pop Airplay, Latin Pop Streaming Songs, and now Latin Airplay.

“Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53” advances 5-1 in its second week on Latin Airplay after a strong 35% gain in audience impressions, to 10 million, earned in the week ending January 26, according to Luminate.

The new coronation extends Shakira’s record among women, with 18 No. 1s. Bizarrap clocks his second after “Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 52,” with Quevedo, reached the top of the chart last November where it remained for four weeks.

Shakira, meanwhile, replaces herself at No. 1 as “Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53” sends “Monotonía,” with Ozuna, to No. 5, after six weeks in charge, the most since Daddy Yankee’s “Con Calma,” featuring Snow, dominated the tally for eight weeks in 2019. Notably, it’s the first time a woman replaces herself at No. 1 since the chart launched in 1994.

Plus, the last time an act replaced itself at No. 1 on Latin Airplay was Farruko when “Pepas” dethroned his featured turn on Enrique Iglesias’ “Me Pasé” in October 2021.

“Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53” continues its winning streak across Billboard charts.

It remains at No. 1 on Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs, Hot Latin Songs, Latin Pop Airplay, and Latin Streaming Songs and Latin Pop Streaming Songs for a second week, while on Latin Digital Song Sales and Latin Pop Digital Song Sales, the track holds atop for a third week.

Over on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100, the track dips 9-13. Further, it holds steady at No. 2 on both Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts.

Shakira Partnering with Bizarrap for “BZRP Music Session #53”

Shakira is joining the sessions…

The 45-year-old Colombian singer and songwriter is teaming up with Bizarrap for one of the Argentine producer’s hit-producing Music Sessions.

After teasing a new track on Monday, January 9), Shakira and Bizarrap both took to social media to confirm their collaboration.

Initially, the new single had been teased with release date of Wednesday, January 11 and a one liner: “a wolf like me doesn’t have time for men like you.”

Subsequently, they announced the collab, simply writing, “Tomorrow, BZRP Music Session #53.”

It’s the first time the pair has teamed up for a track. Shakira joins a number of artists — including Nicky Jam, Residente and Paulo Londra — who’ve jumped on one of Bizarrap’s zealously streamed music sessions.

His session with Spanish act Quevedo scored both their first entry on the Billboard Hot 100. Currently, it has more than 400 million views on YouTube.

This new song will follow Shakira’s Ozuna-assisted “Monotonía,” which peaked at No. 3 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart dated November 5. It currently sits at No. 1 on the Latin Airplay chart, where it’s ruled for four weeks.

Recently, Shakira shared a heartfelt message of hope to start off the new year. “Even if our wounds are still open in this new year, time has a surgeon’s hands. Even if someone’s betrayed us, we must continue to trust others,” wrote the Colombian singer. “When faced with contempt, continue to know your worth. Because there are more good people than indecent ones. More people with empathy than indifference.”

She continued: “The ones who leave are fewer than the many who stay by our side. Our tears are not in vain, they water the soil our future will spring from and make us more human, so that even while suffering heartache we can continue to love.”

The message came after a difficult year due to her separation from Spanish soccer player Gerard Piqué, the father of her children. The singer has spoken openly about the breakup since it was confirmed in June, and has posted material — including releasing the heartbreak song “Monotonía” — alluding to her pain.

Manuel Turizo continues his chart-topping ways in Argentina…

The 22-year-old Colombian singer’s hit single “La Bachata” is spending an 11th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Argentina Hot 100 chart dated November 19).

It’s the longest reign for any song in 2022, and the fifth-most among all titles.

With Turizo adding another week at the summit, let’s look at the longest leads since the chart launched in 2018:

Further, Argentinian Ysy A scores his 15th entry as every song from his latest album, Ysysmo, debuts on the tally. One song from the 12-track set, which released on November 11 through Sponsor Dios, scores the week’s Hot Shot Debut: “Cómo Chilla Ella,” with Sponsor Dios and Evlay, at No. 5.

Elsewhere, Bizarrap adds a 35th entry as his latest collab with Duki, “Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 50,” debuts at No. 11. With the new arrival, he ties with Anuel AA, Ozuna and Rauw Alejandro for the third-most, trailing only Bad Bunny’s 53 entries and J Balvin’s 49. Duki, meanwhile, adds a 34th appearance to his account.

La K’onga takes the Greatest Gainer honors of the week thanks to “El Mismo Aire,” which ascends 97-81. Lali collects her 14th entry as “Motiveishon” starts at No. 83. Lastly, David Guetta and Bebe Rexha’s “I’m Good (Blue)” opens at No. 85.

Bizarrap & Quevedo Earn First No. 1 on Billboard Latin Airplay Chart with “Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 52”

Bizarrap’s hit keeps on giving…

The 24-year-old Argentine Latin Grammy-nominated record producer and DJ has achieved a new career milestone as his Quevedo-collaboration “Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 52” rises to No. 1 on the Billboard Latin Airplay chart dated November 5.

It’s the first No. 1 on the chart for both acts.

The new achievement lands after their team-up led both, the Billboard Global 200 chart (six weeks) and the Global Excl. U.S. chart (four weeks) starting with the July 30-dated rankings.

“Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 52” advances to the top slot in its seventh week on Latin Airplay thanks to an 8% gain, to 9 million, earned in the U.S. in the week ending October 30, according to Luminate.

With the move, Bizarrap and Quevedo join four other acts who have notched their first champ through their first showing on the list in 2022.

Meanwhile “Vol. 52” leads Latin Rhythm Airplay for a second week.

Elsewhere, “Vol. 52” steps 12-11 on the multi-metric Hot Latin Songs chart despite a decline in both streams and sales. The song dips 5 in U.S. streams with 4.1 million logged in the week ending October 27. It also falls 7% in downloads sold in the same period.

The 24-year-old Argentine record producer and DJ’s collaboration with Quevedo, “Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 52,” rebounds for a sixth week atop the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. survey.

The single rebounds from No. 2 for a sixth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, as it drew 51 million streams (down 8%) and sold 1,000 downloads (up 1%) in territories outside the U.S. in the September 9-15 tracking week.

David Guetta and Bebe Rexha’s “I’m Good (Blue)” jumps 5-2 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart; BLACKPINK’s “Pink Venom” drops to No. 3 after spending its first three weeks on the ranking at No. 1; Harry Styles’ “As It Was” retreats 3-4, following a record 13 weeks on top; and Manuel Turizo’s “La Bachata” lifts 6-5 to become his first top five hit on the chart.

Plus, Rema and Selena Gomez’s “Calm Down” ascends 11-10 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, with gains of 23% to 41.8 million streams and 17% to 2,000 sold outside the U.S. Nigeria native Rema (real name: Divine Ikubor) dropped the original version of the song in February as the second single from his debut solo LP, Rave & Roses. Its remix with Gomez arrived August 26, and that version’s official video premiered September 7.

Gomez lands her second single on the chart since the survey began, after “Ice Cream,” with BLACKPINK, ranked at its No. 6 high on the inaugural list in September 2020.

The chart, which began in September 2020, ranks songs based on streaming and sales activity culled from more than 200 territories around the world, as compiled by Luminate. The Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart comprises data from territories excluding the U.S.

Chart ranks are based on a weighted formula incorporating official-only streams on both subscription and ad-supported tiers of audio and video music services, as well as download sales, the latter of which reflect purchases from full-service digital music retailers from around the world, with sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites excluded from the charts’ calculations.

Manuel Turizo has earned his first chart-topper in Argentina…

The 22-year-old Colombian reggaeton singer’s “La Bachata” rises from No. 3 to reach the summit on the Billboard Argentina Hot 100 chart dated September 10, giving him his first No. 1 on the chart.

The track trades places with Bizarrap and Quevedo’s “Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 52,” which dips 1-2 after its eight-week coronation.

It moves into a tie with four other songs for the eighth-most weeks at No. 1 since the chart launched in 2018.

Rosalía’s “Despechá” and Manuel Turizo’s “La Bachata” hold steady at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively for a second week. Rei and Callejero Fino stay at No. 4 with “Tu Turrito” and Duki’s “Givenchy” closes the top five at No. 5. Bad Bunny’s “Titi Me Preguntó” rebounds into the top 10 with a 12-8 trek.

The 23-year-old Argentinian record producer and DJ’s collaboration with Quevedo, “Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 52” is the biggest song in the world, spending a fourth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 and a fifth frame atop the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart.

“Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 52,” by Bizarrap and freestyler Quevedo, spends a fourth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200, as it drew 74.1 million streams and sold 1,200 downloads worldwide in the August 12-18 tracking week.

Harry Styles’ “As It Was” drops to No. 2 after a record 13 weeks at No. 1 on the Global 200; Bad Bunny and Chencho Corleone’s “Me Porto Bonito” holds at No. 3 after reaching No. 2.

Bad Bunny’s own “Tití Me Preguntó” is steady at its No. 4 high.

Bizarrap’s chart success in Argentina continues…

The 23-year-old Argentinian record producer and DJ’s collaboration with Quevedo, “Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 52” has banked a fifth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Argentina Hot 100 chart dated August 13, four weeks after the song became the Argentinian producer’s sixth leader on the list, with five of those from his popular music sessions.

Concurrently, three new songs enter the top 10, starting with Rosalía’s summer jam “Despechá,” which rallies 16-4 in its second week. It’s the highest ranking for the Spaniard since “La Noche de Anoche,” with Bad Bunny, peaked at No. 3 in Feb. 2021, where it remained for two weeks.

Meanwhile, Manuel Turizo captures his third top 10 in his 26th chart appearance as “La Bachata” climbs 14-5. It’s the highest ranking among his three visits to the upper tier, dating back to his first “Vaina Loca,” with Ozuna (No. 8 high, 2018).

Among other feats, Spanish rapper Rels B (Daniel Heredia Vidal) claims his first top 10 as “Cómo Dormiste?” joins at No. 7 as the Hot Shot Debut of the week. He previously reached a No. 71 high with his first chart entry, “Yin Yan,” with Duki in December 2021.
