In a black tie and with his signature curls slicked down, Bisbal is front and center in the glitzy spot that celebrates the 100th anniversary of sparkling wine leader.

Flappers dressed in gold-fringed mini dresses start a party in a wine cellar that continues through the decades until 2014, when the dancers join Bisbal at an outdoor party wearing sequined leotards with hoodies.

Young Spanish actress Maria Valverde, featured in Ridley Scott’s upcoming Exodus: Gods and Kings, also stars in the ad, which was released on Freixenet’s YouTube channel late Tuesday night (Nov. 25).

The New Year’s cava commercial was directed by Goya Award winner Kike Maíllo, who also directed a fictional film based on Bisbal’s Tu y Yo tour that debuted earlier this year.

The ad was filmed at Freixenet’s headquarters outside of Barcelona. Freixenet Cordon Negro Brut is the world’s best-selling champagne-method sparkling wine, according to the brand.

Bisbal, known for his romantic ballads, has a lot to celebrate this year. Tu y Yo, the artist’s fifth studio album, debuted at No. 1 in Spain and was immediately certified double platinum for shipments of over 80,000 copies.

Bisbal is currently on a Latin American tour that culminates with December 14 concert in Madrid. He’ll take part in Televisa’s Canal de las Estrellas channel’s New Year’s Eve countdown, broadcast on December 31.

Rapace In Talks to Star in the Spy Thriller “Unlocked”

Noomi Rapace is ready to unlock her future…

The 34-year-old half-Spanish actress is in negotiations to star in the spy thriller Unlocked.

Noomi Rapace

Rapace would portray a female CIA interrogator duped into getting a terrorist to provide key information to the wrong side in the Mikael Hafstrom-directed film.

Her character’s misstep puts her at the center of a plot to launch a biological attack in London.

Unlocked was originally set at Warner Bros., but the studio release it and it’s being produced as an indie film.

Rapace, who rose to acclaim in the original Swedish The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo trilogy, starred in the Ridley Scott-directed Prometheus, and next stars with Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman and Jason Clarke in the Daniel Espinosa-directed Child 44 for Summit Entertainment.

Rapace to Star Opposite Idris Elba and Sam Worthington in “Alive Alone”

Noomi Rapace won’t be alive alone for long…

The 34-year-old half-Spanish actress, who was originally announced as the leading lady in Alive Alone at last year’s Cannes Film Festival, has two new co-stars.

Noomi Rapace

Rapace was originally set to star opposite Matthias Schoenaerts in the Thunder Road-produced drama. But Schoenaerts had to pull out of the project for personal reasons.

But Rapace won’t be co-starless for long…

Idris Elba and Sam Worthington have just joined the cast, with filming expected to start this March.

The New York-set drama marks the feature helming debut of Khurram Longi, who will direct the project from his own script.

Elba stars as an ex-detainee of Guantanamo Bay working as a taxi driver, and Rapace plays a prostitute on the run from a feared crime boss (Worthington). When their worlds collide, they unexpectedly find salvation in one another.

Elba and Rapace previously co-starred together in the sort-of prequel to Ridley Scott‘s Alien, Prometheus.

Rapace, who rose to acclaim after starring in the original The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo film and its sequels in the Millennium trilogy, most recently starred in Brian De Palma’s erotic thriller Passion.

Diaz to Serve as Producer on CBS’ Comedy “Bad Teacher”

Cameron Diaz is officially a bad producer… The 41-year-old half-Cuban American actress will serve as a producer of CBS’ midseason comedy Bad Teacher, which is based on her hit 2011 Columbia Pictures film of the same name. Cameron Diaz Diaz reunites with the film’s writers Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg, who serve as executive producers on the series. Penélope Cruz is bedding a counselor

The 39-year-old Spanish actress, who recently gave birth to her second child with husband Javier Bardem, makes an appearance in the first international trailer for Ridley Scott’s The Counselor.

Penelope Cruz

From 20th Century Fox UK, the trailer gives the longest glimpse at the film’s plot so far and includes a bit more on the story.

Michael Fassbender leads the film’s all-star cast, portraying a lawyer who gets in over his head when he enters the drug trade.

Along with Cruz and Fassbender, the film’s cast includes Brad Pitt, Bardem and Cameron Diaz.

The film will be released in the US on October 25 and in the United Kingdom on November 15.

Cruz Gives Birth to Second Child with Javier Bardem

Penélope Cruz and husband Javier Bardem will be pulling double duty from now on.

The 39-year-old Spanish actress and the 44-year-old Spanish actor welcomed their second child, a daughter, on Monday.

Penelope Cruz & Javier Bardem

Cruz gave birth at Madrid’s Ruber International hospital just to the north of the city, where Spain’s Crown Princess Letizia gave birth to her two daughters, a hospital source said.

“The couple checked in yesterday and she gave birth yesterday,” the source told AFP without specifying the gender of the baby.

Cruz gave birth to a girl “just a few hours” after Kate Middleton welcomed her little boy in St Mary’s Hospital in London on Monday, according to the online edition of Spanish celebrity magazine Hola!.

The new arrival is the couple’s second child. They are already parents to two-year-old son Leonardo, who was born at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles in 2011.

Cruz and Bardem met when they starred opposite each other in Bigas Luna‘s film Jamon, Jamon back in 1992.

In 2008, they were back together on the silver screen in Woody Allen‘s Vicky Cristina Barcelona, for which Cruz won an Academy Award as best supporting actress.

Bardem, nominated for an Oscar in Before Night Falls, won an Academy Award in 2007 for his role in No Country for Old Men.

The couple married in July 2010 at a ceremony in the Bahamas after keeping their romance quiet for years.

Both Bardem and Cruz star in Ridley Scott‘s The Counselor, a high-profile autumn release written by Scott and also featuring Brad Pitt, Cameron Diaz and Michael Fassbender.

Bardem Lands Roles in “A Most Violent Year” and “The Gunman”

Javier Bardem has landed two killer roles…

The 44-year-old Spanish actor will star in J.C. Chandor’s next film, A Most Violent Year, which will shoot in Manhattan this fall.

Javier Bardem

Unlike his critically acclaimed roles in No Country for Old Men and Skyfall, Bardem will play a good guy in the film.

A Most Violent Year was written by Chandor.

Meanwhile, Bardem has also signed on to go mano a mano with Sean Penn in The Gunman.

The film is being directed by Pierre Morel and financed by Studio Canal.

Bardem excels in these types of films, winning the Oscar for No Country For Old Men, and most recently playing the existentially tortured villain who squared off against James Bond in Skyfall.

He’ll next be seen in the Ridley Scott-directed The Counselor, opposite Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Cameron Diaz and his wife Penelope Cruz.
