Andrea Navedo to Star in Mainstay Entertainment’s “God The Worm”

Andrea Navedo is worming her way onto the big screen…

The 41-year-old Puerto Rican actress and Jane the Virginstar has been cast in Mainstay Entertainment’s God The Worm.

Navedo joins a cast that includes Robert KleinWillie GarsonCraig BierkoChris Perfetti, and SHAEDlead singer Chelsea Leeand Annabella Sciorra.

Written and directed by Eric Schaeffer, the project began filming this week in New York City. 

The story centers on Samantha Miller (Sciorra), a talented singer-songwriter who, questioning life’s meaning, journeys through New York City’s colorful neighborhoods where chance encounters with a roster of eccentric and unforgettable characters who help illuminate her future path and restore her zeal for life and music. 

Klein plays Samantha’s hopeful and loving father, Jasper. Bierko (Walt), Garson (Francis), Navedo (Chloe) and Perfetti (Johnson) are among the dynamic New York City characters she meets along the way. Lee makes her acting debut here as a street artist. 

Navedo’s previous credits include BrightOne Life to Live and How to Make It in America.

The Closer’s Cruz to Guest Star on White Collar

He’s played a beloved detective on TNT’s The Closer for seven seasons… And, now Raymond Cruz will be back behind the badge on another hit show…

The 50-year-old Mexican American actor, best known as The Closer’s Detective Julio Sanchez, will guest star on the upcoming season of White Collar, according to TVGuide.com.

But don’t expect Cruz to be an exemplary lawman… He’ll play Sheriff Enrico Morales, a corrupt local official on a small island town who crosses paths with Neal (Matt Bomer) and Mozzie (Willie Garson). Neal and Mozzie were last seen fleeing from the FBI to an unknown locale in the Season 3 finale.

White Collar started production on Season 4 Monday in Puerto Rico, and is expected to return to the USA lineup this summer.

Cruz joins previously announced upcoming guests Mekhi Phifer, Gregg Henry and AliasMia Maestro.

Along with appearing on The Closer, which will wrap its seven season-run this summer, Cruz’s credits include My Name is Earl, Nip/Tuck and Breaking Bad.
